This item, as its name suggest, is and has always been about movement. The Lament UNIQUE effect which reduces damage dealt by the last champion struck was introduced in the 2015's preseason (between seasons 5 and 6) and serve only as an reinforcement of the item's kitting/chasing identity. Because of this effect's power advantage, many people mistake this item as a "duelist" item or "defensive zeal" item. That's not the purpose and niche of Phantom Dancer. One small aspect doesn't rule the whole thing, specially when said aspect only makes sense when everything is put in perspective.

Please consider scrapping this Lifeline idea. Phantom Dance as not meant to be a defensive item, much less a Hexdrinker style one. Keep it as it is now in live, only changing the critical chance and addressing possible champions who might get indirect-nerfed by the critical chance reduction ( ).
