Unpopular opinion: Crit doesn't belong in league
It's a luck based factor in a skill based game... Please rework this awful stat...

been saying it for years but for some reason most seem fine with dodge being gone since it was a "bullshit" stat but the chance to do double AD on auto attacks is fine? That is just the inverse of Dodge.
If it was changed from 1% crit chance being 1% chance to do double total AD damage to 1% "weapon expertise" increases your auto attack damage by 1% of your total AD which is what they did with the Ashe rework this would be fine, balanced and healthy.
Yes It would mean that rushing infinity edge would be a constant 30% (1 +.20 *(1+.5)) damage increase on top of the AD
Yes this might make marsmen consider other Runes and would not be a bad stat to have in small ammounts in masteries. never forget the mistake of 4% crit chance in masteries. The fact that Riot removed that mid season shows jsut how bad of an impact RNG can have on the ooutcome of a game. Lossing or winning because of Trynda/ brawler glove Crit rune page GP getting or not getting crits is a less then ideal situation for feeling like your playing has a real impact on the games the games outcome.
Trynda's passive changed to .35% "weapon expertise" for every 1% missing health
Ashe passive could be getting 5/10/15/20% weapon expertise on attacking a enemy champion more then once in a 3/4/5 second time period.
Yasuo's passive changed to "Weapon Expertise" is 80% more effective. 1% becomes 1.8% since the current (1% X 2 )X.9 is the same effective power of it.
Everyone else would be basically unaffected from how it would otherwise function. If it can currently crit the Total AD or stated number is increased by a flat %.
actually with a full crit damage rune page and IE you can reach something like 296% of your AD. get a good stall team and run this page with Jhin. late game madness.
The thing that really gets me is the fact it can decide the difference between kills and even the game, it just feel so wrong for something "lucky" to be in a "skill based game"
Crit is the only stat that gives ADCs half a chance at being viable otherwise their AAs would do nothing more than tickle even squishy targets. If you removed crit you would literally have to rework most of the ADCs into AD casters that rely on hitting skillshots rather than sustained AA damage. If you don't like Crit then build tanky champs and quit complaining.
Yup, building AD gives them no chance whatsoever... and "Please rework this awful stat..." I'm asking for it to be changed to not be based on luck.
They basically did make non-chance critical strikes already, but rather than making it a broad gameplay change, they made it Ashe's passive instead.
