Anyone else have a problem with Xerath?

Like, I'm not asking for a nerf or anything, especially because I'd probably just be shot down, but why is Xerath like... him? I mean, he has range that if memory serves a lot of is over 1000, his ult is even more(what was it, 5000?), his kit bursts down squishies so easily its not even funny, he has that AOE knockup and damage that has long range. Really, his only problem is mobility, and that's only because he slows down during his Q and stops during his ult. And his passive keeps his sustained in lane as long as he doesn't get poked down(HA! Because he'd get poked down faster than hisopponent).

Now, people say he's immobile, but he has 340 base movespeed- AS MUCH AS EVELYNN. So yeah that's kind of out the window....

So like yeah, anyone have a serious problem with his? I think its a bit unfair that he can burst as much as a Zed and still have such damn long range, AND a hard CC ability WITH damage itself. Lots of damage.

item 3070 Xerath item 3070

EDIT:

Sorry, he doesn't have a knockup, he has a slow. I mistook it. Either way, CC and makes it a hell of a lot easier to hit a target, especially considering it slows by 80%!

Xerath is completely skill-shot based and as such has the potential to whiff everything reducing his damage to 0. On the flip side if he can land everything then he feels like a God. This was completely intentional on the part of Riot to make him very "High risk high reward".

As a Xerath main I thought he was OP when I picked him up but over time I understand now his weaknesses and strengths much better. He is extremely mana hungry and if you can't proc your passive on enemy champions then you will run oom very fast and lose control of your lane. Like another person mentioned, he is very immobile with no sort of repositioning ability or ms boost or anything and as such if you reach him you can wreck him.

Best Mids to play against him: (No particular order)

- Le Blanc (Early damage is better than his and you will force him to stay far away from you lest he be destroyed.)

-Ahri (Q can poke him through the wave and gives mobility to dodge his revenge Q, Xerath is squishy and one charm all but guarantees a kill. Your ult counters his.)

-Fizz (Tough for Fizz early but later you can dodge everything and Xerath can't peel you away by himself.)

Best Junglers to play against him: (No particular order)

-VI (Strong damage to burst squishy Xerath, tanky to resist burst, and after 6 he is yours whenever you want him. *Care when charging your Q in to ram him because he can stun you with ease)

-Lee Sin (Solid damage to kill Xerath. One kick into your team and he's gone. Mobile enough to dodge skill shots from Xerath.)

-Olaf (Build tanky and press R and make sure to /all "ez" when you kill him again and again.)

TL;DR- Xerath is in a good spot because when played poorly or outplayed he deals next to no damage and can be shut down in lane with smart play, but when he is played well or the opponent can't outplay him he deals beastly damage and carries hard. A good example of high risk, high reward gamestyle.

Xerath has no mobility and only one (low-damage, short-duration skillshot) form of hard CC.

He has a mana regain passive that forces him to get closer to enemies than he should in order to sustain his large mana costs. HIs Q has large range and damage because it takes time to charge up its full range, forces Xerath to move extremely slowly, and has no natural CC. His W may apply a slow, but a large portion of its damage (and its slow %) is locked into the center of the blast, which is easily avoided as long as you aren't walking in a straight line. His E is more of a last-ditch defensive mechanism than anything. Its damage is lackluster, and its CC is weaker as you get closer to Xerath—making him extremely vulnerable to melee champions that manage to close the gap. It's very easy to dodge, as well. Xerath's ultimate does do a massive amount of damage... If he lands it. If he's close to a fight, he can be knocked out of the channel and lose any charges of his ultimate that haven't been spent.

Xerath can be out-poked if you play another siege mage, and any champion can potentially lane against him if the player is good at dodging skillshots. Assassins can kill Xerath fairly easily because of his E's range-based stun duration; these assassins tend to become lethal before Xerath acquires enough damage and mana regen to waveclear efficiently.

TL;DR: Learn to dodge skillshots. Either get in Xerath's face or poke him to death (especially during his Q's channel, when he can't dodge skillshots effectively). Beat him during the early game before he ignore you by waveclearing. Interrupt his ultimate's channel with hard CC.

Just pointing out, while your post is mostly correct

Xerath's ult has the same travel time no matter where he is (.5 seconds) the further he is from his target, the faster the shot will travel; the closer he is, the slower it travels.

I'm more concerned about the pronoun swaps halfway through the post.

im more intrigued by the sex change Xerath apparently had according to your post.

Especially since Xerath is technically asexual and genderless due to the ascension

Funny how people only speak of how I always call him a girl. Name reminds me of a girl. Now get back on subject.

well i mean most people won't talk to you about a champion most of the time if you dont know whether its a girl/boy(only exception ive really seen are rek'sai discussions)

her, she aoe knockup......who are you talking about because xer is a guy and doesnt have a knockup

Some people are just dumb and extremely salty that doesn't know what they're talking about.

She and knocback? Where do you live? In a parallel universe?

Having the same movespeed as Evelynn is significant why? She has a speed boost, and even then it's barely enough (especially since they removed the perma-speed boost when you are in range for Hate Spike).

Because its a high base movement speed, and considering its on a melee assassin you'd assume Xerath would have less for her range and burst.
