Back in season 5 everyone was autofulled

Difference now is riot tells you to pick roles, then disregards what roles everyone picked. Main thing that bugs me about autofill is all the dodgers, i will be in champion select 4-6 times before i actually get into a game. So overall for me autofill makes my queue times nearly 3x longer. I really dont mind autofill much, its the problems it creates that start to piss me off

Back in season 5 we had an actual strategic game

Back in season 5 you couldnt tell the system what roles you play. And even if Im "ok" top or bot, I wont be as good as people that main that role in my elo, same goes for my teammates that get autofilled and have no impact...

I was Shaco one trick, I really hated autofill activated 24/7, BUT I really put an effort to learn at least basics how to play other roles than jungle, and few other champions, so actually I can do decent whatever I get, and I'm pretty happy with my Kled and Jhin progress. Without autofill I wouldn't touch these champs, and now I think they are really fun to play, also Teemo (kill me pls), so I am not mad when I don't get jungle. And it's still autofill protection in promos or after being autofilled. :^)
