They feel pretty awful to play right now, like worse than they did before.

Benefit! They are very very slightly better with a much much bigger draw back than early game champions.

Really? I always see champions like GP and Fiora wrecking anyone.

GP literally struggles all of early game up until mid game where he gets his power spike, fiora is a duelist. She isn't early or late. Shes made to just kill things.
