What's with the Evelynn changes on the PBE?

3/13 PBE Update

Evelynn

Shadow Walk (passive) re-stealth time reduced to 6/5/4/3 at levels 1/6/11/16 from 6 seconds at all levels.

Dark Frenzy (W) [ Passive changed to -"Passive: Evelynn's spell hits on enemy champions reduce Dark Frenzy's cooldown by 1 second" from granting movement speed for 3 seconds on spell hit]

Restealthing faster is nice but that's hardly the stage of the game where it will matter.

The big thing I can't understand is why you would remove Evelynn's ability to stick to targets completely, in favor of giving her a slight boost to the cooldowns that are already refreshing if she kills her targets. That's not a buff. That's a nothing.

Why are you even looking at her W?

If you really want to make an impactful decision when it comes to Evelynn why not ask yourself what an assassin really wants. Virtually any character in this game (except Evelynn) can sneak up on targets by simply using brush and wards intelligently. [Evelynn's passive only gives her player a false sense of security because she gets spotted way too easily]

Evelynn doesn't need an engage. Evelynn needs a disengage that can help her get over walls. You know, like every single viable character.

It also wouldn't hurt if her ultimate was capable of killing targets.

They just don't know what to do with her. It seems like they don't want her played but a lot of people, including me, enjoy her so they do stuff t her.

Yeah the W change is a complete nerf because it refreshes on kill, and Evelynn in not one to want to stay long enough in a fight to get 5 hatespikes off.

So if Eve hits all 5 enemy champions with one Q would the W cd be reduced by 1 second or 5 seconds (1 sec per champion hit)?

spell hits on enemy

so i think every enemy hit reduces it by one second

Uuu that seems interesting.

Also the 3 second fade time on stealth sounds nice >:)

yeah but she still gets abysmall early game where her enemy realy needs to be both low and cc'ed for her to succed in a gank

so i dont realy know what this will acomplish

Except Rengar because riot said not knowing someone is there is ok when you don't have vision unless that someone is rengar. then it not ok (^:

Implying every viable champion can go over walls

Other than that, I agree.

well there are some like Sivir that don't really GO over walls but can certainly impact a teamfight on the other side of one with a boomerang blade. What's Eve going to do, other than "politely ask for them to wait for her ult cooldown to finish so she can get assist credit"? :P

Eve's q can go over walls as well.

Saying a champion is only viable if they can use an ability over walls is kinda dumb lol

It can only go over walls if the wall is short enough and the other champion is humping the wall and Evelynn is leaning hard enough into it from the other side. Her q really doesn't have that kind of range. Unless you're talking base gates.

You can also dodge her Q if you stand on the edge of it and leave the range right after she casts it.
