she trades with other champions on bot rather good she can even afford to start some agression on her own
why people just say she is somehow insanely weak during the early game when she seems to handle it quite good if not etter than some other champions ?

BluePolarizer2 votesYou don't win against Vayne by trading alone. That's a misconception. Vayne trades extremely well. You win against Vayne, I believe, by pushing and harassing while CSing using AOE and range.
supes the lost1 votesPretty much, you shut out vayne by outranging her and making her unable to farm, her only real weakness is her short auto attack range and her reliance on auto attacks to do damage.

NoMonku2 votesVayne is a REALLY weak ADC early on in the game. If you just matchup numbers, she should lose in power against most every other ADC in the game early on if they can land their abilities. Her real strength is in her late game power, her strong dueling ability, and her outplay potential.
She has no wave clearing ability, which makes it so she can get pushed into tower very easily. Early in the game, minions do a significant amount of damage, so you having no/less minions then your lane opponent means that if you fight, you should end up taking more overall damage then them if they play correctly.
Her range is fairly short for an ADC, making it so champions like 
can hit her before she has any chance of touching them. That is also just their AA. Most other champions have abilities that outrange their AA range which they can use to harass Vayne down before she can even touch them.

Xinotine1 votesImo Vayne has a lot skill matchups. Take for example. She is said to counter Vayne. However, her Q is perfectly dodgeble with 
Q, and if Vayne dodges Piltower Peacemakers Cait can only poke her with autos that don't hurt too much early if Vayne keeps track on headshots and forces Cait to use it on minion or lose CS. If Vayne is good enough she can come from lane even and then outscale Caitlyn mid-late.
