If he gets destroyed he can still come back and be a monster that you wont want to focus in fights because hes Vlad

Nah, very few champions can meet those criteria. It basically requires sustain or a ranged fall-back pattern. For example, Lux would fit that category as would Orianna. For many champs. this is just not true even if you are very skilled with your champion. For example, AP Ez. goes down over 10% in winrate (to sub-40%) when facing Talon. Although, that's not the best example since it actually isn't a hard counter. A better example would be Ryze vs Singed. There is almost nothing the Singed can do vs a good Ryze except try to survive the onslaught and pick-up a few CS here and there.

I don't care how good of a Nasus you are. If you are up against a semi-competent Darius and your jungler doesn't come to help you, you. are. fucked.

Hard counters are very rare, but there are some.

As for Vlad, he's just a constant pain in the ass. He has so much sustain and a good amount of damage when 1v1.

He has a very good teamfight ult and can easily buy time for himself while regaining health.

He's mostly annoying if anything, but I believe he's going to be super strong next patch.

As a Vlad main I absolutely hate taking him top. Always have to go against some annoying counter like Darius, Riven, or Irelia. I feel like his hardest matchups are top, and thus I play him mid only.
