Cho does too much of everything except mobility

Honestly this champion has been one of the strongest champs so far. He does almost everything... He becomes tanky naturally, massive sustain in lane (hp and mana), knock up AND SILENCE that both does good damage, has good auto attack because of his E, and not to mention HE HAS A TRUE DAMAGE ULT that can kill any champion if hes building AP. I think he needs a nerf on one of these area. Take away his silence, or lower his sustain (lower hp sustain and no mana sustain), true damage ulti to ONLY monsters and change it to magic damage so we can build against it. Only bad thing about Chogath is that he has no mobility what so ever but he has a aoe stun up that last almost 2 seconds and a silence so you can do much about him not to mention that hes tanky. And the fact that he has long cooldown but can be negated if he builds cdr plus blue buff.

He's too good atm and particularly unkillable by the mid game if hes smart and doesnt die early game by ganks which is sometimes hard if he plays really safe. And even then hes still hard to kill mid game when hes doing bad (saying if the cho gath player is smart). He's too good atm imo.

inb4 no one complained about him till he was played him in the LCS

I'm so sad they did >.>.. I always had problems with him but no one plays him so I didnt care but now the LCS makes him a first pick ban worthy champion.. sigh.. they shouldnt have picked him up. And to make things worst soloque are uncoordinate, so its even harder for us to punish him early and in teamfights

lol, take a chogath using luden's echo to the face XD it really hurts. though actually, he pretty much only has 2 spells for damage. his AOE silence is mostly for poking and for team fights, but it's pretty short range at only just over 600. His Q is on a 9 second cooldown(I think it's locked that high but i'm not sure) and his ult is barely over melee range

He does have a lot of astonishing damage, which makes him a surprising pick as a tank, but he also has to have a source of sustain, either the lane or killing a champ/monster.

lol, i should build mobile chogath just for lols XD it's actually for lols on any champ but fairly effective when you have over 500 move speed while out of combat and static over 400 (like 430 or more) while in combat

True thats why I know he has some flaws. I can see his downfall, but imo it doesnt make up for how strong and how irrating it is to face him . I just want one thing gone. He has two spells for damage and a execution. Not to mention his AA hurts a bit too but really it just helps him farm under turret and heal. I know his sustain isnt much after laning phase but its still strong either way. :/ I dont know, I just think its too strong even if hes immobile. Like after a certain point in the game, I just tell my adc to peel back and help kill cho after the adc builds IE PD and LW but before then hes so difficult to deal with when there are 4 other players to deal with. Imo a champ shouldnt do that much damage while being naturally tanky even if he has to get in range (or hit his skillshot) to get those damage off while having a decent/safe early game (if hes smart, cause it doesnt matter if the player was bad, I wouldnt be complaining if all cho gath players were bad. But good cho gath players are way too annoying to deal with and now there's a bunch of them because LCS motivated them to practice, now its a first pick or ban champion). RANT D: sorry just lost to him 3 times because its either me or my team forgetting to ban him or forgot to pick him and lost >.>... gg salt

well, i've seen a few of them here and there, but most build tanky chogath, which isn't nearly as much of a damage threat as AP less-tanky mage chogath(my preferred one)

if he's not being played, of course people wouldn't complain about him. but cho has been broken for a long time. there's really only 3 champs i think are straight up broken, and he is one of them.

Keep in mind, he's not really good against tanky champions. His burst is all flat damage, and if someone has a large HP and natural %HP he's at a slight disadvantage.

take amumu for example...he's the ultimate chogath counter...he gets mroe damage the more you hit him with your E for basic attacks, he has multiple crowd controls and an engage, he shreds you based upon your health and he does high flat damage

how many people complain about amumu? XD

Rain NT1 votes

Yeah but amumu is easy to beat in lane cause he has no range ability and to duel he uses a lot if not all his mana. And he can get countered in the jungle making him weak in the mid game where cho gath is strong in the mid game. Cho beats most champions mid unless its a long range mid laner but if he lands a Q he will just follow up with WR ignite or if he lands W he gets a free Q where he just R and then ignite. He is weaker in the top lane cause of tanky champion, but most tanky champs get outscaled by him except for sion and maokai (but cho gath does more damage to them and almost as tanky)

EffectFX1 votes

Cho'gath does not beat sion and maokai in damage. Literally all you have to do is build a little MR and lots of HP and sion and maokai will outlast cho because of better %HP base damage. Cho is good in the early game, and mid/late vs squishy champs. He's really not very good against champions that are tanky mid/late game.

which makes him an ideal tank ^^

when you're the tank, you engage the squishies who are tryign to bully your own squishies and since you can kill them in a spell rotation, they have to play it safe

this is the primary reason people don't like chogath because he forces people to think about what they're doing, "what? I can't click a button and delete him? op riot!"

lol, just kidding, but the concept is pretty much that when facing him. he's a mixed priority target since he's a tank but he's also a high damage mage

he's like galio, who has no counters but he has no strengths whereas chogath has counters but has a lot of strengths

3TWarrior1 votes

has anyone ever seen an attack speed chogath? seems like he could take advantage of his E if built tanky as well

his E does 30% of his AP plus flat values, add gnashor's to that and you're doing 45% and 50% from masteries (but i'd rather the utility tree

Cho gets pooped on by %HP damage and kiting, which League is not in any short supply of.

He's really just an example of how powerful an immobile champion needs to be in order to be on par with the mobile ones. Take advantage of his lack of mobility. If you have a lot of vision he should almost never be able to get into a position where he can kill anyone. Also, just kite him to his death.
