Show our death timer when we are still alive

I was in a custom game and was practicing Riven Q cancelling vs the gromp. I would basically go back everytime I was low on hp and buy a bunch of potions or hp/hpregen if I had enough. After awhile I realized it was actually faster to just die level 1 because the recall timer was lower than just teleporting back level 1. I was wondering why cant we be shown our death timer? We are allow to see jungle camp timer now and epic monster timer, why cant we see our death timer??

I like it. Would also show people the stakes of dying before they do something risky.

I agree more with Zoneout's comment because it is good to know what you are risking at a point where death could ultimately cost you the game. For that reason, I would be in support of this. However, the reason Lucifxr gives, while accurate, is not as healthy. It should never be encouraged to die in order to return to base opposed to recalling, because it ultimately is not worth it. Unless you get yourself executed, the kill gold (most likely First Blood as well) will be far more valuable to your opponent than the few seconds you save by not recalling.

The reason it takes less time to die than recall early game is so that early death is less oppressive. If death timers were higher early game, players would miss out on a crucial amount of farm and exp, which will put them behind.

So again, this would be a good idea, but not to encourage players to die instead of backing.

I said that example because thats what made me notice early why we dont have death timer shown to us. But no I dont agree that players should die just because its faster. I only did it because I was trying to practice Riven Q cancelling, but either way level 1 death timer are shorter than backing to base, thats just a "just so you know" cause I didnt when I was practising til 10 mins in. If you die early game in a real game you will lose out on gold and exp, and giving the other team gold and exp. Its never worth to die level 1, but you do see it sometimes anyway, how sion would die early level to get camps and then tp back to lane, instead of killing a camp without dying, backing to base then tp back to lane.

but what im trying to point out is, why cant we see our death timer in the first place. I want to be able to see it late game and I want to be able to see it early to judge if I will miss out on important objectives if I decide to turret dive here to get a kill or not etc. Like either go 1 for 1 and not lose dragon because im died kinda deal.

Right, I wasn't trying to criticize you for your point. I am sorry if it came across that way. I just wanted to be sure that nobody sees this as a benefit. I completely agree with you that it would be a good addition to the game.
