Worlds show how useless the juggernauts are, and are only good against bad players

Rain NT··9 votes·926 views

With Darius unjustified nerfs incoming because non-mechanically players with no fundamental or understanding of the game.

Hey,I dont even play Darius and I still defend him because I see all you guys crying for no reason when THEY ARE BALANCED.

Garen wasnt even even banned, and Darius was banned once but was 2-3 at worlds lmao. And the only reason he won once was because EDG was playing him against a weak region, and Zion got his ass carried going 1-4 early and ended 1-4-6 haha.

Only strong one is morde.

Ill take every down vote as one bad player. So if youre gonna downvote, go right ahead so I can keep count.

The fact that everyone picked/banned him on the first day just shows strong he does in solo-queue. This clearly implies that he dominated in boot camp. It's just that the LCS is an entirely different ball game with 10x the coordination and strategy.

Rain NT2 votes

Then play better and get to that ball game, cause every Darius game I see loses. Garen WASNT EVEN PICKED OR BANNED.. and everyone complains lmao and same as Skarner, so that means they werent even good in bootcamp

disregardable3 votes

The best players in the world couldn't even recreate the LCS in solo-queue. xD You can't play the 4 man gank, extensive jungle control at 5 minutes game.

Rain NT2 votes

Lmao they didnt even do that except for the CLG game. Darius just straight out went even in lane and then got stomped by teamfights cause hes easy to kite.

Ralanr1 votes

Due to good communication. Which has never been 100% efficient with pings.

Rain NT1 votes

Then learn how to kite and read your team mates movements, how to avoid damage and when to attack waste spells trying to catch you. I'm basically saying, if you are complaining about it then fix it. If you can't that basically mean youre not good enough.

Ralanr1 votes

What rank are you? If it's not bronze, then let me tell you it's unlikely that reading your teammates is going to help you.

Pro teams act like freaking teams. You think it's normal to analyze the moves of people you just met and probably won't meet again as you play with them in a match?

I don't even agree with the Darius nerf. I'd rather allow it to be cancelled by stuns.

Rain NT1 votes

Indeed I am not bronze, and I agree only bronze will find trouble with him. But the player base are not only bronze, and Darius isnt that great if you get better at the game. Cause Darius wont win 1v1 in lane if youre good. And if he falls behind in laning phase, and you get ahead. You can use that advantage to carry the game.

What I am saying is, get better. Dont just use nerf the champion has an excuse for you not being able to deal with him for your lack of skill

Clint Orris3 votes

Ok please be quiet. World bans and Solo que bans are 2 different things. You just can compare those two when the meta over there is drastically different.

Rain NT1 votes

Lmao then get at that level, cause if good pro players doesnt think he is OP, then are you telling youre bad. Platinum+ all juggernauts are not even in the top 5 top laners

Ralanr2 votes

Yes, let's all get on the level of pro players. The ones who get sponsorships and play tournaments in France.

Doesn't sound unreasonable at all.

Rain NT1 votes

Thats what I'm saying, skill level doesnt even matter much once you reach a certain rank. Its all about internet connection, a little bit of mechanics, and mostly the understanding of the game. Thats what seperates Gold from Platinum when I was playing in Gold. The thought process are so different.

If you dont have the full understanding of the game and how to play it correct and not dive in all the time or trying to fight all the time or not get objectives at the right time or how to manage minion waves or siege towers correctly or flank correctly or peel or poke with the right team comp or how to counter teamcomp in champ select (and how to win champ select). It basically means youre not good.

Ralanr1 votes

A highschool football player isn't on the same level as a college football player, nor is the college player on the same level as the pro. Doesn't mean they can't enjoy the game.

If anything, you sound rather salty.

Rain NT1 votes

So? Its like saying a Kobe didnt deserve to play at the highschool basketball team cause he was already at the NBA level. But he did before reaching the NBA anyway.

You nerf Darius so he can never be good enough to play competitive, so why buff him in the first place. If hes balance in competitive, what gives the right for bad players to call him OP? He's balance, learn how to face him. Cause he has balance win ratio from high gold to platinum +

Rain NT1 votes

Yes I am salty, there are so many bad players and people nerf him for no reason. It was easy enough for me to beat him with Jayce, now I just feel bad for him cause he was already easy to beat and now he is garbage if I counter him (after the next nerf). He doesnt need anymore nerfs, he is JUST BALANCE right now.

Ralanr1 votes

Yes. Because obviously you know balance more than anyone else.

Look as much as you or anyone else may hate it, riot is in control of how balance works, not us. We can influence them, but if we were that strong then Mordekaiser would have been reverted already.

If you have to attack someone, attack Riot. Blaming poor players does nothing but make you look like an asshole.

Rain NT1 votes

I really should attack Riot. They are dumb for giving a kit where he is strong vs weak players and weak vs strong players. They never seem to find a balance between the two. But poor players should not say nerf a champion for their lack of skill.

Stephen Curry didnt complain when he wasnt even drafted to a good college basketball team cause his skill wasnt good enough. He worked harder and is now the best Point Guard in the world.

Ralanr2 votes

Ok, here's a shocker: Not everyone wants to be the best at league. They want to play a game for fun, and Darius's kit was never fun to play against.

Rain NT1 votes

In low elo yeah, higher elo he is easy lane if youre smart.

If you want to play the game for fun then play normal draft and ban him or play a different game. Cause Riot is confused if they want this game to be casual or competitive. But they sure will make more money competitive cause of sponsors and hopefully a TV channel deal one day.

Ralanr1 votes

Alright. How do you personally fight him?

And note: it's the first day of worlds.

Rain NT1 votes

And they did badly, they wont be seeing much game time on the second day except maybe skarner or morde.

Renekton you play safe early (except if youre Riven/Lee/Darius or anyone that does really good DPS early) But once he has rage bar you can't fight him at all if hes level 3-4 because he will win that trade no matter what. If you dont have an advantage early theres no way you can beat him at 6 cause of the extra health DPS and how much he can heal with raged Q. But Renekton is open to ganks cause he is a lane bully and tend to push the lane. Even ask your jungler to zone him so you can gain EXP and farm while he cant, mostly if his minion wave has built up so it pushed to your side instead.

He starts to fall off because he is easy to kite if hes not fed. And doesnt do damage if you have armor. If youre Irelia you can just build any armor item early (ninja tabi and sunfire/deadman) and youll beat him if you max W on her. Yorick outsustain him. Malphite builds armor naturally but loses early but Malphite is easy to gank for. Maokai just build tanky and he wont do any damage to you. Jax 2 item powerspike will beat him even if he has 3 items. Nasus starts to beat him at 250 Q stack or 300 (without dying ofc, play safe til then). Rumble can damage him without him dealing damage back. Shyvana can beat him at level 9 or whenever she gets tanky or botrk.

Riven, just care for her level 3 powerspike. If she can animation cancel, then youre in for a long day, play safe if she can. Riven is very squishy early game and very easy to read what she wants to do. If youre really squishy (more than her) as well then you shouldnt have pick that champion or you have to play safe the entire laning phase or wait for jungler. Avoid getting hit by her AA passive (with Wukongs W/ Irelia E/ Renekton W/ Jax E, things like that) because thats most of her damage early game cause she prob has to waste 1-2 Q to actually reach you. If youre under 50% hp and she has ult, dont even fight her unless you have ALOT of armor. Sunfire early or armor item early is the best way to face her. If youre ahead you can build damage and just watch out for her AA passive and if she hasnt used Q. She is also a lane bully so shes open to ganks as well. Tell your jungler where the ward is and tell him to get a sweeper if he can. She falls off because its almost impossible to get her full combo if she doesnt know how to animation cancel (which most dont know) and even then she won't do much damage without getting ahead because the front line is too tanky and the back line is too good at getting away and kiting/orbwalk/cc (saying if yorue good)

Rain NT1 votes

You want to know how to nerf a champion, GET BETTER. Thats the best way to nerf them. I remember when Renekton was a big problem for me and Riven as well. I would purposely leave Riven and Renekton open so I can face them again every soloque game so I can learn how to beat them slowly. And now I barely lose to them.

Clint Orris1 votes

Are you double jungling with your jungler? Do YOU know about the playstyles of all your enemies and ban based upon that and their mains. Is our meta top focused? Do you ward and counterward and use the FoW to your advantage? Is your team frequently switching lanes to gain an advantage?

And you seem to forget that the Pros are always playing 2 patches behind.

There is a huge different between having full understanding of the game, to playing at that level.

Rain NT1 votes

They are playing 2 patches behind when he wasnt seriously nerfed and they are still losing with him haha.

Yes I do know how to double jungle cause I would do it sometimes. I dont know my enemies and how they ban but I do know the champions they picked and how they are played correctly and can use that to my advantage. I do ward and counterward and use the field of vision to my advantage (everyone in my rank does) And my team would switch lanes if we have a really bad match up. And my support would roam mid. My jungler also camp lanes that needs it. My main roam bot and top if they are losing. THIS IS WHERE I PLAY. And its not pro.

And we dont do these stuff often cause most of the time its not needed BECAUSE WE PLATINUMS are not as good as pros. SO WE PLAT NEEDS TO GET BETTER in terms of understand the game and how to use it to our advantage more often.

We dont make excuses. We try to get better and be better.

WalkingInACircle3 votes

That sure explains why they keep picking and banning them.

Perhaps you should consider waiting for a larger sample size?

LatetotheRace2 votes

Take into account, the worlds games are not played for fun. You don't play a champion because you want to. They simply play a counter game, doing everything in their power to put themselves at a disadvantage. The reason darius is "Big" is because he makes top laning a pain in the ass. It's not fun, and no one wants to do it. We want champions who can be fought well using a wide range of champions that not only do things, but are enjoyable to play.

LatetotheRace1 votes

I'm not gonna argue about why this is, but the community has spoken. (I will however sum up every post on the forums) It's not just about him doing as intended, the problem here inlies that he's a unstoppable killing machine. Fundamentally designed to DESTROY an enemy team with numbers in the neighborhood of 3k+ true damage to a team. Which is more than vayne will do in a few minutes.

Rain NT4 votes

Then tell me why he did no damage at worlds? Cause they kite him. Just learn it lmao. How can he has more death than kills AND ASSIST at worlds? Cause hes overrated by bad players. Simple as that

Sasogwa1 votes

Well, if he's strong to the point of being picked in worlds, it's because he is a powerhouse in melee damage and tankiness. When the frontlines collide, Darius has more impact, simply because of his insane damage and tankiness and destroys opposition. And I think it's actually a nice change from the full CC tank + hypersafe carries we saw back when there was cinderhulk meta. Because Darius has less peel and CC, so it opens up diversity, like assassins picks.

Rain NT2 votes

Youre missing the fact GAREN AND SKARNER wasnt even played picked or banned. And Darius wont be played much after the second day. But yeah I agree, I like diversity but with all the nerfs coming its like why buff them in the first place. I think they are balance or slightly strong, not OP

Skarner got picked twice though. I actually don't think they'll get nerfed that much.

Rain NT1 votes

Skarner imo when I play against him is worst than all of them. But I still dont cry, I will find a way to beat him either way. Against him im 4-6 atm. He's strong, not unbeatable. I forgot he got picked twice by the way. Forgot EDG took them both >.>.. but its EDG though against a non competitive team.

H37RV1 votes

I do agree with the OP. Darius is good at doing what he does. a tanky high damage dealing team fighter. however he has definitive weaknesses. He can be kited easily and counter-picked well. I think the nerf is overdone, that or requires a buff in another area to compensate.

Rain NT1 votes

I agree he is strong in terms of damage. But he is weak everywhere else. He HAS NO RESISTANCE scaling at all.. and even after the nerfs they are still crying like omg..

Kivolan1 votes

Please be troll...

The fact that something is picked or banned in Worlds shows just how much potential that champ has. I don't think Darius being banned / picked and losing means he's weak, I think it's means he's strong as fuck but there's other things that beat him.

Skarner and Morde were both banned and picked as well.

So, you're 50% right at most.

Here's your F.

Solo-Queue does not seem to have any idea how to kite Darius Mordekaiser although a Garen-main may not necessarily be as easy to harass/kite & will probably just be able to safely farm away all day anyway until your whole entire team gets wrecked. Just for the record, probably because I main Kennen, I never bothered to ban Darius this season, and every time they did pick Darius & if I had Kennen, the matches (should be like 8 or 9 of them total) were always won, for this season (and obvious my teams had lost if I did NOT have Kennen and IF it were someone ELSE laning against Darius). I don't know if you can narrow those matches down in my match-history, but if you can look them up with those matches where the enemy team had Darius, you should be able to verify this for yourself, that I am not fabricating my win-rate against Darius. Then again some arrogant prick whose match-making or duo-partner carried them into Gold/Plat+ is probably going to come along and say that I am just Silver-Garbage whose opinions don't matter (despite having absolutely no clue about how troll this match-maker has been to somehow consistently give me heavy-ass team-members, and it's NOT just that one person who loses the game for you, but the WHOLE ENTIRE fucking team simply being somehow incompetent, and even when they're not incompetent, they still somehow manage to lose & feed 30 kills within 10 minutes anyway despite having picked their mains after getting all of the roles that they called for), and the previous post I made on these forums also has screen-shot evidence of how stupid things can get.

Darius is a average champion with average win ratio plat/diamond + and a bit below average popularity, but people want to complain about darius, when there are tons of champions with better win ratios and bigger popularity at the same time. Ammumu Ahri blitz Lux garen wukong ahri veigar brand malzahar malphite soraka jinx sona janna sivir dianna fiora leona All of them have better popularity higher WR, some of them perfom better competitive 2, if they want to nerf darius they must w8 to see if darius will play more games the next week, if dont, but riot still wants to nerf him, then they must nerf all these champions 2.

There are also champions with higher win ratios but lower popularity. The majority of these champions dont need nerfs, why then darius need nerfs (if he dont get picked the next week at worlds)
