Matchmaking -- Putting me with Iron 4's

I am so confused and frustrated.

I am Silver 4, but since this past weekend I have been put on teams with Iron 2's, 3's, and 4's.

So I am trying to win ranked games where my teammates have no idea about macro play and are making poor choices like farming jungle or splitting up when the enemy is pushing into our base or trying for baron. I can only ping so much and try to make suggestions but then I am ignored our flamed.

Silver 4 is literally 8 levels up from Iron 4...

Is anyone else noticing major discrepancies with the skill levels of their teammates in the matchmaking?

What is going on?
