Inting Player, Nunu ADC, Said he wants to get demoted to Iron IV

So, I'm grinding my way through Silver and after losing one game because our mid ragequit at 8 minutes in, I accepted the bad luck and rallied for another try.

This time I was Support Nautilus (opop). During the draft, my ADC picked after me and picked Nunu and Willump. Strange to see a Nunu ADC, but whatever, as long as he tries I can support it and make it work.

Then when the game started he walked to lane and said "BRB in 5 minutes." But then he never did anything for the entire match. I noticed that he just stood at our turret and would occasionally walk to the other side of it. I presume it is because if you stand still too long LeaverBuster will kick you from the game.

So he was purposely walking to the turret, then waiting for the enemy to dive him and feed. I tried my best as Nautilus to prevent this but eventually the enemy team figured out that he wasn't going to fight and they won the lane.

The enemy team was asking what was going on and I said "I think he is trying to force losses to get demoted to Iron." Then suddenly he spoke in /all chat and admitted "this nautilus is smart ^^".

So he admitted that he was trying to force losses in order to be demoted down to Iron IV. I took a screenshot of this. I later looked at his op.gg and saw that he's been doing this every game as Nunu. 0/15, 1/17, 1/11, loss after loss after loss. He is currently Bronze II (and falling).

This is straight up trolling and extremely frustrating. I should note that we did try to win despite his trolling, but the enemy team capitalized on him and then my top decided to just FF vote and move on and my team forfeit. (He was active enough to vote to forfeit but not do anything else.)

At the end of the match I was demoted to Silver IV because of his antics.

Everyone reported him, and I also put in a ticket with the screenshot of him admitting in chat that he was purposely trying to lose to get to Iron IV.

So frustrating. This game is so tough because of people like this guy who aren't playing to win.

But you can't ban bad players. I'm quiet sure he is just having ~ 20 consecutive bad games. Also, how would you want to detect a basically AFK player, with horrible stats for 20 consecutive games? Even the most sophisticated AI would not be able to detect this. It would need at least 2 group of 120IQ and Diamond+ players to find out if he might be trolling.

I hope you didn't say anything bad in chat, since that would totally get you banned :\

Well, it looks like he has been punished.

Riot also replied to me and said:

_Unfortunately I'm not able to disclose any actions that may or may not have been taken on this account as it would violate privacy. That being said, I will say that we take these kinds of behaviors very seriously and they aren't ok. When it comes to penalties you'll just have to trust us. _

I just checked his op.gg and his last game was now more than 8 hours ago, about an hour after Riot told me they would investigate. I am amazed he was able to get 20+ more ranked losses in after the game with me when I originally reported him. I am pretty sure my team and the enemy team reported as well.

Hopefully he has been stopped. I will probably check his op.gg again tomorrow to see.

As much as I want to help, you really aren't making this thread as a discussion. So therefore, it should be posted in the rant section.

I think I've played with that guy before. In my case, I was Xin. He picked Tahm with smite and followed me to jungle...He'd wait, swallow me, then smite the buff. He's follow me to base flashing emos and last his all my jungle creeps. When I'd die, he's then feed.....

I reported but I dont think they even read low Elo reports so he must have migrated to your games :)

No wonder boosting is rife because Low elo sucks in every respect

So.... Why are you demoted due to intentional feeders? There should be a troll detected system therefore loss prevented. Why doesn't leaverbuster kick out feeders who literally admit they are inting or plan to get iron 4. Or flat out perma ban them since obviously they aren't human enough to consider others equal.

I just checked his op.gg and since I first posted this he played a whopping eleven (!) ranked games and lost 10 of them.

Crazy.

My ticket is still open and hasn't been seen by Riot yet but he obviously has not been banned as of right now...

Will keep the board posted. Hopefully someone will answer my ticket tomorrow.

Thanks for writing in to us! I'm really sorry this happened during your match. Griefing like this is super not cool and something we are very serious about stopping. For sure I'd be upset if I had a Summoner in my game who basically wasn't even playing.

I'll look into XXXXXXX and determine what action should be taken although I can't tell you what actions are taken because of privacy concerns. Thank you as well for the screenshot, it will for sure help with the investigation.

It is really unfortunate that you had to experience this behavior from this Summoner. I know we can't change what happened, but I hope you do feel a bit of consolation knowing that the person you reported will be looked into. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!!

I just checked his op.gg and he is still playing today, not even an hour ago. I updated the ticket and noted that I can see he is still playing ranked games even less than an hour ago and still purposely losing every time.

However, I just logged into League and got the "Instant Feedback Report" notification, but I am not sure if that is from this game or not. I report toxic players constantly and have been seeing a bunch lately.

Since I posted yesterday he has now played TWENTY-ONE ranked games and lost TWENTY of them.

He's now at Bronze IV.

This is ridiculous!

I will keep checking and updating the board.

Tbh my MMR is too high for where I currently play at solo queue wise. I've been told the only way to fix my MMR to my current skill set (took a 3 month break while studying abroad) was to demote if i can't win.

Not condoning or supporting what he did at all, but why would he even bother if he’s in Bronze 2 in silver MMR? That’s going to take a LOT of games to even get demoted down to Iron IV. Account will get banned before he even reaches Bronze IV (hopefully)
