I don't know how to talk to you people anymore.

As a jungler, I don't know how to keep the losing lane happy:

  • If I tell them that I'll abandon them, then they rage at me.
  • If I don't tell them and I abandon them, they still rage at me.

#Game 1 Me: "Hey top, you're 3 kills behind now, I'm gonna focus other lanes." Top: "Noob jungler. I'm AFK."

#Game 2 I'm getting us kills and objectives mid and bot. Enough happening to keep me too occupied to visit top. We gain advantages but top keeps dying every so often. Top: "OMG noob jungler, gank for once." Me: "I'm a bit busy, mate." Top: "If you don't gank in the next minute, I'm AFK."

I didn't gank for the fucker in that minute. Drag was coming up.

My point is, though, that some players can be complete fucking cunts. In both games I played to create advantages as best I could, and in both games I succeeded in doing so. But the moment these shitholes start raging, I just start playing worse and I don't want to communicate anymore.

So tell me:

  • How do I shake off their rage so it doesn't affect me as much?
  • How do I make them understand that I can't help them on my own?

The mute button does wonders. I feel that feel tho.

The holy mute button is your friend. Don't tell them that you're muting them though.

Best to just mute them and if they troll, report em. If they don't know to play safe and play for the team instead of wanting you to snowball them, then they aren't worth your time.

Do like me bro! Lvl 3 gank mid Lvl 5 gank top Lvl 6 gank bot You will shut them up!

I usually ignore them and tell them to ward, maybe gank when their opponent is overextended. Just be careful, they might even kill themselves during your gank.

You can't do much about thing second bit, but for the first, you just need to learn to tune them out I suppose? The mute button does wonders.

so I go top to gnak then when they about to get the kill I'll leave a few autos let them die, take the kill and the wave. If top is unkillable I treat their protests the way I'd treat a women's inconsequential and insincere.

Are you sure you meant word "behind"? Because it would mean that your top was in trouble and you left him...

After the level 3 2v2 in top that ended in his advantage, he managed to get outplayed and get taken down by his lane opponent. In the mean time I focused other objectives and lanes.

Look, I get that you're mad, but even the tone you are inflecting right now gives off a lot of negative energy. Try not to react so strongly to feedback that may not be constructive; focus on your game and if that happens to intersect with ganking for the people who might have been upset, so be it.

Like many other Summoners are saying, you can mute them and still communicate with pings, but consider how you want to be affected by criticism. We're not pros. Mistakes happen. Keep your head up and remember that it's just a game, albeit a very competitive one. You'll find yourself more relaxed and on better terms than you would if you argued throughout the course of a match.

Looks like you are not a good jungle , maybe play support .

I hate the whole idea junglers must win my lane. I gank who ever can snow ball, but if its morg mid and heimer top i will camp bot lane 24/7

B3ER1 votes

I don't like to abandon lanes immediately. Ideally, I want supply every lane with an advantage. As a jungler I have to observe the skill of my teammates, their resources, whether they're tilting and perform a risk/reward assessment for ganking that lane. I'll abandon them only if this all looks unfavourable for us.

Salidfingers1 votes

I have abandoned many lanes and won many games when i was force to jungle.

People don't understand it takes 2 or more ganks to catch someone up in lane. During which time other lanes may crumble because you are not there to snowball or counter gank turning it into 2 fail lanes.

People will always call you bad and horrible and they act like they know better. Proof: If they know the game why did they lose lane.

"Hey top buddy, sorry you're doing not doing well. Let me get bot a double kill so I can ignore them and take dragon off the map. Then I'll come top and catch you back up. Sound good baby?"

You don't actually have to go top after that. But just saying stuff like that makes people rage less.

B3ER1 votes

That's a lot of typing. I might have to get this stuff on a clipboard note. :p

GundayMonday1 votes

Yeah, I like to type it when I'm walking back from base, or farming a camp. I type really fast too ;p But the tone is important too. Sometimes your tone gets lost in shorter sentences, and you may need it to calm down the little rage monster in your top lane. So sometimes more is better, granted you may have to spend a little extra time typing it out.

My two cents. Generally if you say you want to help and explain your plan, teammates are more understanding than if you just ignore them.

B3ER1 votes

I'm a slow typer. :( Partly from being slow myself and partly from having deep keys in my keyboard. I wanna get one with flat keys, I type faster on that.

GundayMonday1 votes

It's all good. Sometimes it'll be worth the 30s to rally the troops versus not typing and having them rage quit. Becomes a non-issue if you can get your typing speed up, since then it will always be worth it!

Mute is your best friend. Also a lot of less skilled players consider it your "job" to do all the work for them. Depending on what jungler you are playing, perform to their strengths. Farm if you are a farmer and gank if you're a ganker. There is nothing WORSE then ganking when you're weak and giving up kills and possibly buffs over to the enemy lane. As for your second point, if they are relying on you as a crutch, they themselves already most likely don't understand it, so they will blame you no matter what as long as bad things happen. One thing I will say in their defense, though, is if they ARE being camped/ganked, you either need to be there to help or doing something ELSE on the map objective based, be it kills or tower/dragon, because if you're just afk farming when they are getting dove, that is bad in most cases.

You also are making the right choice in abandoning a losing lane, especially if they lost it themselves 1v1. Just make sure you are actually trying to do something constructive. If a lane is being ganked, it means you can exert pressure where the opposing jungler isn't. If you don't see a good choice, then counterjungle, it being your smallest "victory". As far as baddies go, not much you can do bro. Just play your game and play the best you can, don't rage/be toxic, and you'll be good to go.

Stephenizgod1 votes

Well first off dont abandon them, just because they are behind does not mean they cant come back and be an asset to the team. Obviously you should focus on other lanes to get them fed but also try and help Top even if its just to let them get some farm for awhile. Another thing you can do is tell them to take Golems/Wight when they can, it makes them think you are still helping them even if you cant actually go up there and help. If you succeed in getting Mid fed, ask them to go Top to help so you can focus on objectives and Bot lane. Make sure to be giving them helpful advice on what to do in this situation, and also make sure they know why you are not ganking Top in a nice way.

Basically do not abandon them unless they are being complete jackasses, they are a part of your team and this is a team game.

EDIT: Btw i just wanna make this clear, im not saying you are wrong in abandoning them, im saying there are other ways to handle it other then saying "you lost lane, you are on your own"

Don't gank a losing lane, unless you can bring another lane with you to force the gank's victory.

It's like, one of the cardinal rules of jungling.

Stephenizgod1 votes

If you reread my comment you will see i never said you needed to gank that losing lane... i said do not abandon them, give them help in other ways such as giving them advice, telling them to take some of your jungle for farm, and asking other lanes to help them.

So next time before you give me a smartass response actually read my comment please.

Maybe instead of going mid at level 3 and only getting a kill if their midlaner is overextended go top and even if you don't get a kill or blow their flash you might chunk them pretty hard and give your teammate an easier lane. Only do this if you're confident you can win if the enemy jungler comes for a counter. Toplane is probably the snowballiest lane atm, if you can get an advantage and freeze it there's not much the enemy can do about it. And don't play junglers that are only good at ganking through river because river will most likely be warded. Take something that can gank from the lane brushes.

Also, if you're doing golems and your trinket is up, just do a drive by gank for some zoning/damage and drop a ward on your way out. Since nobody starts with wards anymore you'll only going to have your lane warded 50% of the time. Botlane can avoid this by cycling their wards and midlane is a short lane populated by champions who can destroy waves from the safety of their tower.

Most of my games I do my level 3 gank in top lane. Multiple reasons why:

  1. Top often snowballs hardest. It is the least important in terms of objectives so I want to give it an early lead and move on to higher priorities.

  2. At my rank top laners forget to ward at 3 minutes. (too focused on securing early advantages).

  3. The longer I wait, the more tanky/slippery they get therefore harder to gank.

  4. Enemy jungler often visits top as well and I coordinate a countergank.
