Aatrox. I exepect no reply from Riot. They are too busy buffing champs that are in good positions.

There are any number of things you can do to make him better without making him OP.

You could leave his sustain and passive as is, but you could increase the cool down dive and make it interruptible with 25% increase on its knock-up radius

So, he can cast it less often, but when he does its more effective.

His basic attack range should be 175 like Wu, Xin, Yasou, Darius and Garen. He has a huge sword.

His blades of torment are weak and slow, but I am okay with them. I think that the first enemy hit by the blades should be stunned for 20, .25, .30, .45 and .50 seconds.

His ult shoe do AOE to everything around it, minions and monsters. This way he can possibly use it to steal dragon or baron, the way many other champs can with their ults.

So that's it.

1)Improve dive, but compensate by making it have a slightly longer cool down 2)Increase basic attack range 3)Add a slight stun to his blades, which is not oppressive because if it hit minion first, only the minion will have the stun applied to it 4)Let his ult doe AOE damage to minions and monsters.

Aatrox has the problem of being a stat-check champion with a very binary gameplay pattern, where his being too strong is unhealthy for the game.

People on the boards love to use terms like "binary". Can you please define hat in the context you used it in?

he essentially means that he's a champ where you know from the start if you're going to win or lose the fight based on how strong aatrox is. aatrox either smashes in melee 1v1s, or he just gets absolutely cooked. there's a bunch of champions like this, such as xin zhao, tryndamere, and warwick, but that doesn't necessarily make it ok

JS, tryndamere can comeback quite easily. He also has a few mechanics he can use to his advantage.

This sounds like over simplified thinking. I frequently come back to win against fed Jax's and other champions in lane. It depends on a lot...how well do you manage the aggressive of a champion who rolled you early? Can you take advantage of it, is your jungler a good team player? Can you leave lane and team fight to get a couple of kills? Do you have enough situational awareness to do that, while not letting your lane get completely pushed?

Essentially, I don't believe any champion is binary--I think its a term that sounds cool that people like to use to sound like they are intelligent on these matters.

No, it actually means what people use it to mean. Many champs are a ball of stats, including Aatrox. They either have the stats to win or they don't.

ViashinoWizard1 votes

Basically, either Aatrox has enough items/stats that he can jump on you and out-duel without much you can duel about it, or he doesn't have enough items/stats and can't do much of anything.

Darkinlegend1 votes

Basically, none of that is true unless you play like an idiot. Winning from behind with Aatrox is essential to climbing---you will not always get fed early. Mistakes will happen, their jungler will be better than yours, or yours will do something stupid and get you killed.

Seems alright, I don;t see why not

His blades of torment are weak and slow, but I am okay with them. I think that the first enemy hit by the blades should be stunned for 20, .25, .30, .45 and .50 seconds.

That would make him broken.

His ult shoe do AOE to everything around it, minions and monsters. This way he can possibly use it to steal dragon or baron, the way many other champs can with their ults.

Seems alright agian. summoner 31

Why would that stun make him broken? Riven gets 2 hard CCs.

Sahn Uzal1 votes

So? Riven has an entirely different kit. Hard CC has a lot of value, and simply throwing it on a kit that already works would just simply make it overloaded. Hard CC also means he can build defensive when behind, while Aatrox is all about rewarding offensive playstyle and builds. Allowing him to be useful when behind kills his high risk high reward fantasy. summoner 31

"A kit that already works"

You are full of jokes!

Aatrox is not in a good spot, but he does have a complete kit and he does work. A friend of mine actually mains Aatrox and does consistantly well with him. summoner 31

Yeah, is he doing well consistently in silver or platinum?

I love how my post gets down voted for no god damn reason. All of you who down voted me can go crawl back into the hole you came from.

They can leave all of his stats right where they are. Stat wise he isn't weak. The problem is that his only mobility/cc is not reliable and this drastically reduces his capabilities. Make his q untargetable and Aatrox is fixed.
