Why is my mmr affected by my teammates?

Had a game, played it well. Went 8-3-15 had the highest cs in game, checked my rating on op.gg and my mmr lowered. Why would that happen? I played well, my personal play was fine. Why am I being punished because my top lane went 0-7 and my mid lane went 1-5 in lane? Why does a loss contribute to lowering my own mmr? That's stupid that me getting bad teammates would lower my mmr and make it harder on me. They already lost the game for me, I already lost IP at least let me gain mmr to make up for it later on.

The 'MMR' that's calculated on those sites isn't completely accurate. It's likely fairly close, but I'd say you probably can't trust it down to a difference of 1 or 2 points. Or even 10. I'd say it's best to use as a gauge to tell within 100-200 what your in-game MMR most likely is.

That said, you're right to an extent. Technically, your MMR will decrease if you lose and it'll increase if you win. So yes, your MMR after that loss would have decreased slightly. But it's based on the entire team's results, not just your own. Your record in game has nothing to do with it at all, and it shouldn't. If it did, then mid laners and marksmen would have an inflated MMR since they tend to be the ones carrying in a game.

KDA HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SKILL. THE WHOLE POINT IS TO WIN THE GAME.

Also you actually have no idea what your MMR really is and sites like op.gg just do their own estimations.

YOU are the common denominator in every match, almost every match is on you to win, if you lose, it's likely your fault, feeders or not.
