When can we expect a new Brutalizer item?

Without Black Cleaver, Brutalizer is nothing but Youmuu's little brother. The problem with that though is that AD assassins don't really want the crit as much as Marksmen do. If AD assassins want the crit, they need to be stacking other crit items as well, reducing their AD and making them very weak in the midgame where they desperately need their power spike. And yet, Brutalizer is an Assassin oriented item.

The new Black Cleaver has fixed one problem,

but introduced another.

When can we expect a new squishy-destroying upgrade for Brutalizer? I WOULD suggest reworking Youmuu's but it has its uses and is balanced for Marksmen so I'd rather not be changing that up.

Perhaps something with no crit or active, but more flat pen than Youmuu (35?) and AD (40?) and 15%(or maybe still 10%?) CDR. How does that sound?

This idea was brought up by another player to me.

Instead of Bf Sword + Vamp sceptor for Essense Reaver it should be Brutalizer + Vamper sceptor, raise the CDR to 20% and lower the damage a bit. That would fix ER and give us a Brutalizer item.

I don't like that. They're already ideating on a Baby Essence Reaver to use during lane phase where you actually need the mana return which would end up fixing Essence Reaver in the end. It doesn't need Brutalizer. Also, armor pen, cooldown reduction, mana return, and medium AD on a single item is just a very weird and odd combination of stats.

It would be more than medium Ad, more like 60-70 which is nothing to scoff at, in addition to armor pen. Plus sustain.

Right now AD casters, like Talon, rush Brutalizer early on. The only item Talon can build that into currently is Youmuu's. Black Cleaver is a HORRIBLE item on Talon because it gives a shitty amount of damage and the arm pen goes up with each attack. You want to run in, combo, then run like hell.

So where are you getting your armor pen from? Youmuu's and LW are the only items in the game that give armor penetration without having to ramp up, but provide 0 sustain. Which is where ER comes in. It would provide him sustain, CDR, armor pen, and a solid amount of AD. Nearly ever Talon builds Last Whisper, Hydra, and Youmuu's, making this change to ER could give us Talon players variety.

Most talons would build ghostblade though instead of Black Cleaver... Black Cleaver was only bought on bruisers and for good reason(now even better reasons). Talon doesn't really need Essence reaver, and he can easily get CDR cap while building offensive items, plus last whisper is beyond gold efficient.

I am one of those Talons that didn't build Black Cleaver. However, I wish there was more variety than "Build Ghostblade, Hydra, and Last Whisper"

The only difference between each Talon's build is what boots they choose to wear and their final 2 items. The core is always the same.
