Can we address the horrible RNG involved in getting gemstones?

I understand you need to make money, Riot, but nobody is going to give a flying fuck about gems if they're stupidly hard to get.

Just my two cents that I won't be spending on chests.

I agree with the gemstones, its nice having an actual RARE skin. Every other skin simply needs you to buy at a certain release and so on. Two skins take forever to earn? I see no problem there.

They are supposed to be ridiculously rare for a reason. every skin in the game, barring a few of the legacy skins from early in the game, every goddamn skins is just "oh cool you spent $5-30". When I see a soulstealer vayne or hextech annie, i am legitimately impressed.

My only problem with the gems is that they're required for the ward skin.

And that's the only ward skin I've seen that spins. Which is super ass cool.

They did have a guaranteed Gem sale (had to buy 10 chests) with the last release of Project skins. Short of that guarantee, there is little reason to try your luck with regular chest purchases.

That's still one gemstone for 10 chests... also known as roughly the same odds as opening 10 chests.

It's hardly a generous offer.

Well, there was the remote chance of getting more, but at least I was guaranteed one. I wouldn't have bothered at all without at least one that was guaranteed.
