The Actual Problem with Kalista

Kalista isn't weak at any point in the game or at any point in the game. Seriously this champions kit ACTUALLY has it all. Kalista brings poke, disengage, engage, teamfighting, ultity, burst, and pick. Not only that but Kalista is strong at all points in the game. Early? Check. She has unreal lane trading abilities with her W passive and Decent all in potential. Mid? Check. She secures drakes the best out of any champion in the game, and due to her interaction with Runnans she is able to have a quicker item spike then most ADCs. Late Game? Check. Runnans gives her great potential AoE while being extremely hard to kill due to her passive. That all being said I do not think Kalista is inherently unbalanced nor is her passive. I think it gives a unique league champion that could be balanced - though currently she is not. She is the Lucian of Season 5 she brings everything to the table while sacrificing nothing for it. So let's make some balance changes because I don't want to just QQ

  1. Her W passive lacks counter play for such a strong ability so the easy solution? Kalista is no longer able to proc her own passive with autos or mark the target. When Kalistas soul bound autos a target Kalista can prof the mark by landing piece on the target. This adds counterplay to the ability.
  2. Recently Riot nerfed her auto damage. This was the wrong thing to nerf. Kalista is the Vladimir of ADCs she abuses lifesteal far to effectively due to her passive. So, Kalista lifesteal for only 80% of the normal amount. This way if you do gap closer on her she doesn't get away with 10% health then lifesteal all the back up. In retun her autos deal normal damage again
  3. This one seems the most obvious to me. Kalista needs to be Vayne'd. Runnans should NOT apply her spears into other targets. Seriously, this interaction isn't on vayne because she would become far to effective while fighting multiple targets and it would give her wave clear. Kalista is the same way. It allows Kalista to life steal far to effectively while having to much synergy with her kit, and provides her with wave clear.

it isnt on vayne because it says consecutive. Kalistas does not say consecutive it is like twitch passive which can be applied to multiple targets and not drop off. If kali had vayne treatment if she EVER switched targets all stacks would be insta dropped and she couldnt rend them. why? becasuse they are no longer consecutive which makes her useless. Shes all around getting rend stacks in people and popping them. Also her lifesteal is fine as is. with it currently she technically gets 90% of it over your proposed 80%. Her ADr atios aren't harmed by her autos doing "less" then 1-1 but she is ment to stack for rend like i said earlier.

Kalista's problem, is that she was badly designed, frankly. It would take way too much effort to fix her, now.

She's fun to play, and has a fairly high skill cap, but she has a terribly unbalanced kit.
