So, Riot. I think I speak for the community when i say that if nothing else we want a simple response. I understand that it takes a lot of work to create a new server and a lot of money. However, the community ABSOLUTELY desires a response, update, something on the servers and the ping issue. I am not sure on the actual facts on how much ping you need to be noticeable( if someone could post it that'd be awesome) but I'm sure the 80 percent difference between east and west coast is noticeable. 387.5 million is the population of South America in 2011 and 222,334,228 is the amount of internet users as of 2013 and there are both and LAN and a LAS server. The united states has 316.1 million (2013) and has 254,295,536 internet users with the majority concentrated in the East Coast. As such with more people playing league in the United States and having more internet users in a smaller concentrated area I'm just curious as why there is no East Coast server? Is there anyway we can get a response Riot please?

theyre probably trying. not trying as hard as they could be, but trying.

i think its probably a really expensive and difficult task and theyre just trying to make it as inexpensive as possible, which is causing it to take a lot longer than it could.

Because East Coast servers are not a solution that will actually fix it. They're a placebo. A few people might get better latency, but most wouldn't.

They have posted a plan a little while back, I assume they haven't posted anything new because the plan remains the same.

Also, it's the holiday season, so chances are most of them want a break from the way they're treated on these boards for at least a few days as a Christmas present to themselves.

I have seen nothing that suggests that they are trying to improve it. I don't even care if what they try works, just fucking try something. They are sure showing us that they don't care. Whether that is their thoughts, I don't know, but it is pretty hard to argue against it at this point.

The most rediculous thing is, they put the LAN Server in Florida, that could just as easily be the NAE Server. hence why ever more NAE Players move over there.

They should just rename it, and put an actual LAN Server somewhere like Costa Rica.

you know what i'm with the masses that want a east coast server, I'm sorry but i don't see why i have to play in lan where i don't understand anyone To have a better ping. but for every 1 person that wants the east coast servers, there is 5 more right behind them who don't want it for whatever reasons they want to list off. the bottom line is this we got over 100 ping close to 200 sometimes, you guys have 50 - 80 if your lucky advantage everyone on the west coast. if you don't want the east coast servers, then that's you're deal no one is making you play on the east coast server. There are people in the east coast, who have sunk hundreds of dollars into this game (a rough guess.) and your gonna tell them they don't deserve to have better servers? that is the most idiotic thing i have ever heard, you can't enjoy a game with your ping sky rocking through the roof which is what games where designed for.

but will riot do it? hell no because apparently its much easier, to make new skins and graphical updates a much higher priority. people on both east and west coast are sinking cash mountains into this game, the least riot could do is give the east coast players what they have been asking for. A east coast server so they can finally enjoy a game their sinking money into, because if this keeps up and my ping stays where it is i'm gonna stop supporting riot all together. the fans have asked nicely, they have begged and riot turns a blind eye to a actual issue that doesn't have to deal with players claiming something is op or designed wrong.

This solution would at least, put some players at ease and would make things a bit less tense around here. But since there are people who think, that riot ignoring the east coast fans outcry for a server is the right thing for them to do riot will never give it to them. GG riot GG

Lets be honest here, Riot is a company and a company is made to make money. There fore Riot's obj is to make as much money as possible. Moving the server or making a new one would cost them lots of money and reap less profit. So odds are they won't do it any time soon
