Tahm is gonna be 100% pick/ban in LCS

I think in soloque Tahm will honestly be pretty balanced, even thoughI hate to be this guy ,but I realized something. Everyone remember the Shen meta where he'd just split until you sent someone to stop him then ult into the fight? Well, Tahm is going to bring back this exact meta. However, instead of 1-3-1 or 1-4 split push it will be viable to suddenly send to split with a 2-3 or even a 2-2-1 comp. The team without Tahm is going to be at such a disadvantage because they will have to send 2 top to deal with the split push and when they do Tahm just ults into the back line. It is possible that I am overthinking this or something but it seems like in the LCS he is going to warp the meta.

I had the same worry when Rek'sai and her ulti were introduced, and as we've seen, her ulti is so frequently used simply to return to the field that it's been affectionately nicknamed the "Farm Alarm" by many casters. Granted, she can't take anyone with her when she ults, but I'm not so sure Tahm will become that huge a menace.

For example, warding would still be a major factor in the split push strategy, and if a team fell behind early or had poor ward control then they wouldn't see someone coming to stop a split push; as someone else already pointed out, all damage ends Tahm's ult, so then he's a sitting duck--er, frog. Still has good health and decent CC if he can stack his passive, but without the get-out-of-lane-free card.

I'm not a pro player by any means, so I can't even begin to fathom all the strategies and counter-strategies they're probably cooking up, but I'd guess that when he joins LCS his success will largely depend upon team synergy, like Kalista and her ulti - if your team works well together and utilizes it fully, he'll be a boss. If not, well, he'll go hungry.

I personally believe that he will be a very strong support and that he may use his tp effectively in lane swap scenarios primarily. As mentioned by others, he's very kitable and he won't be too oppressive outside of a lane swap due to a lack of reliable cc, his cc requires him to get a few autos off first. Imo, I would expect to see him paired with low mobility hyper carries like kog'maw due to his ability to save them from assassins and provide them with a safe laning phase. As for whether or not he'll be an insanely strong split pusher, I think that he'll be countered by TF/top laners playing mages with wave clear and that in the long run he won't change the meta too much as the jungle role has already adopted the hard tank position.

Please bear in mind that any damage dealt to him by champions during his ult channel will cancel it so don't expect him to get free tps off against a top laner with ranged abilities.

I was thinking more that it would be because his consume would completely remove a player from a teamfight.

If Dyrus and Faker think they get camped hard now, they ain't seen nothing yet.

Thing is he doesnt have much of a way to get to targets, and will beeasily kited. He also doesnt look like all that good of a splitpusher.

Still think he will be strong tho.

Edit: Just remembered he can bring adc to splitpush with him.

Well, when we're talking LCS it's difficult to just depict what will happen. I'm going out on a limb when I explain this, but in order for Tahm to have an exceptional teamfight advantage like this, there will be several trade-offs he has to make. By himself, he is at a huge disadvantage late game, and hard engage can really screw up a teamfight well before he can even join it. Also, disengage when he does ult will screw him up as well. He won't have his ult for a small while, which will give the enemy a chance to capitalize on.

Can we discuss a team in which Tahm is support, TF mid, Shen top, Rek'Sai Jungle + adc of choice + all of them TP?

Will this crush the current meta?
