Proof that You can't carry every game

League of Legends Match History

So, that's a link to my match history. I threw those games on purpose. I wasn't caught. If you look far enough back, you'll see a game where i went 12/5/24 as j4. I lost that game, and then was put on chat restrict for saying my team sucks. So i decided to prove that it is impossible to win in league if even one of your players is bad enough or troll. So i threw every game since except for one where i was against a braindead lux as akali and had too much fun. I lost every one too except for as yas. I got an early lead and was worried i'd be caught if i threw that hard. How fair is that to the people on my team. This is proof that you can't carry. Sure, it's statistically really hard to happen, but what if you get a troll or incredibly bad player in every game you play? You won't win. I didn't even have to try hard to lose. just trying not to win. I did this from a promo into b2 down to the bottom (0 lp) of b5. i don't get caught. SO riot. This is proof that your system has a flaw. You might be wondering why I'm still here, after the "goodbye league" thread i made. Well, this is the product of the promise i made then. I will show the people who play league how bad the system truly is and hopefully they leave too.

That was good read I would really like it if they did that.

I can't call other players scumfuck retards but this guy can exist. That's what's wrong with League.

You see now! Good! That was partly the goal of this. Apparently just saying they suck is enough to get you reported for negative now. How stupid is that?

The point isn't to win every game. The point is to win more than half of your games. You're not a god, even Faker has lost games. Hell, Saintvicious lost that one game in low Bronze elo.

Edit: Wait, now that I look at your match history, you call that feeding?

JhomasTefferson1 votes

I didn't say i fed. I just said i tried to not win. It wasn't that i fed, it was that i just did stuff that didn't make sense to do. Like i'd ward, but i'd ward the stupid tri bush in blue jungle that hardly ever gets walked through. When the enemy was all dead, i'd never take the free baron or drag. I'd always wait till they were all up to push objectives. And i would only go for kills when the enemy was very out of position. I didn't want to get caught, you see.

I was in some games three in a row with the same people on my team. Imagine how that must have been for them.

And i know the point isn;t to win every game. The point I'm trying to make is that theres a possibility, no matter how small, that you get people like me in every game so you can't win any game. I honestly and truly believe that this is why i couldn't climb. I was getting better, noticeably. I could tell why i was losing two, three weeks ago and how i was shit now even, i could still tell what i was doing wrong, but i was getting better and not climbing. My friends who are higher elo (like gold) said i'd gotten better, noticeably. And they wondered how i was still bronze. I played normals with them and did as well, they never really pointed out any glaring faults and said i was doing well. They didn't get how i was b3. So i keep trying to climb and i couldn't. And the only possible solution i could find was that the system is broken, but broken in such a way that you have to be really unlucky for it to affect you, and i am just that unlucky.

Mm, yeah, I gave my replays to a gold player once and he said that I played like a gold player and should easily climb. I've spectated goldies a number of times as well as watched them stream, and they honestly make a lot of mistakes. The difference between Bronze and Gold players seems to be mostly decision making and game knowledge.

I can tell you that going back even 3 months ago on your match history, you consistently did not do well. It'd be one game with a positive score, 2 games with a meh score and no cs, and one game where you did awfully.

When I came back from my break from ranked, my normals MMR was only 300 higher than my ranked MMR, significantly less than gold. But I went 8/1 and did well 3/4 games over 30 or so games and got to silver instantly. It's only Silver 5, obviously, just where my normals MMR is, but there was no elo hell stopping me.

Want some honest advice? Die less, CS more, read some articles on itemization, and bring the right summoners spells.

I don't even want a good rank. I just want to be not bronze. I tried that, the advice you gave. It was good, and it still is good. I just think it doesn't work. I'll try again in a couple months probably after taking a month break from league all together hoping they rebalance some of the stuff and maybe make some adjustments to the ranked system. Then i'll play normals for a while until i find myself consistently carrying them, then go onto ranked. Part of my problem is that ranked is so different from normals so there's no real way to practice. Thanks for the advice though bro. A lot of people are going to think i'm a toxic person just for making this post, so the fact that you took a while to actually type up a good response is nice. It gives me faith in the community of people who are normally just saying "you're bad, get gud." Which i know, and getting good isn't exactly all that there is to it.

Anyway. thank you for the advice. Maybe the stuff i was reading was out of date. And the die less thing is what caused this whole rant. Someone gave me that advice, that for like each of my deaths i should have at least 2 kills, 2 assists, or a kill and an assist. I followed it and started doing way better. I was dying a lot less than my teammates every game, and csing more, and i was telling them that they needed to die less and cs more too. And they took that as toxic. So i told them they suck, which is apparently toxic, idk why. it's a simple statement of truth. anyway, i wasn't climbing with that so i got all pissed off and did this to attempt to show the community the problems I've been having and hopefully highlight the flaw in the system.

Thanks again bro. Appreciate it.

Winning more than half of your games doesn't matter. I had +6-10 all season and could never leave Silver. Got promoted, instantly demoted, then get demoted down to Silver 4. Work my way back up to Silver 2, same thing happens.

You lose more LP for a loss than you gain for a win. You have to win much more than just over 50%.

disregardable1 votes

That's because your MMR is low Silver/high Bronze, not Gold.

Which makes zero sense, since if I'm winning more than I'm losing, I would have a higher MMR than two tiers lower than what I was playing at.

Your flat number doesn't work that way. You need to look at your win percentage.

If your flat number stayed constant throughout your entire season, then your win percentage was actually slightly decreasing over time, AND your win percentage within any given time would be exactly 50%, explaining why you haven't been climbing.

Math time!

Let's say you won your first 8 games straight. But then you stayed +8 the entire season.
You would have started out with 8/0 Win-Loss, 100% win rate.
But when you get to 50 games played, you're still only +8. So you'd have a 29/21 Win-Loss, a 58% win rate.
Say you play 1000 games this season. But you're still only +8. You'd be at 504/496 Win-Loss, a 50.4% win rate.
See how your win rate percentage is going down if you stay at a constant flat [Win - Loss]?

Now take a meager 53% win rate. This player stays at 53% win rate the entire season on average.

When he plays his 100th game, he'll be at 53/47, a +6 flat rate.
At his 500th game, he'll be at 265/235, a +30 flat rate.
His win percentage stays the same, but his flat rate keeps increasing.

That is how you eventually climb (along with a few lucky breaks during promos, I'll admit. But you get the idea).

So you went and became part of the problem to prove that there is a problem? I'm sorry, but that is just psychotic reasoning. If you're going to leave the game, then just leave. No reason to spoil the fun for people that actually still enjoy it.

Yeah, that is what i did. It's working now a little better. Hopefully some people who don't think there's a problem (riot) will see this post and do something positive. Or enough players will see this and, outraged, tell riot, who will then do something also.
