Shouldn't it be the other way around since crit is much more expensive to build?

No. One gives you immedaete burst and anotzer dps. Ofc, old adcs had both burst and dps.

Assassin players likely feel more of a powerspike with just duskblade than most crit users feel with IE + Zeal

No, not quite.

With crit you need at least 3 items to really get going, and even then you wont have burst on the level of a common assassin using a cheaper build as that is not what crit does.....anymore at least.

Unfortunately burst is now so common so you are probably better off not really building IE at all and not touching its users, often the same for onhit build users like kog or Varus.

Crit is too expensive and now too slow, picks like Ez, lucian, kai sa, mf and Draven are your best bet.

No because Crit is supposed to scale off of ad and attack speed Not one hit damage which is exactly why i needed to be nerfed but Wasnt actually nerfed it just comes online later.

Who are you testing the items on to compare? While I have not been actively testing those item combinations myself it does seem like Infinity edge heavily favors capped or over capped attackspeed to make it feel good.

Not at all.

One is meant for burst while the other is meant to scale into high DPS.

Why would a bursty combo be changed into a scaling burst? It would negate the whole point of it being a burst.

That's entirely fair and I assume intended. I feel the same. Duskblade stays the same all game, while IE/crit gets better each item. The crit user will see more gains later in the game as the items synergize.

Right now it seems that game times are fairly short, and there arent as many tanks as there are some hierarchy damage dealers. This also favors burst (storm/dusk) over crit builds.

If you're set on crit, try stormrazor into zeal items perhaps, then ie third? Storm does benefit from crit and the AS from the zeal item.
