What counter True Damage? Health What Convert Damage to True Damage? DeathDance What do Bruisers have in common in their build? HEALTH + DAMAGE Do Bruiser Build Resistance? Barely... but they do build Spirit Visage to amplify their healing

Technically the reason why Bruisers are straight up too strong is because DeathDance some of the damage to true damage overtime, with the massive health pool they have late game, bruiser doesn't need to build resistance. All they have to do is stack up health and attack damage. They don't even need to build penetration items and only have Black Cleaver + Conqueror.

true damage

Yes, but no. True damage is involved, but has pretty much nothing to do with why Death's Dance is good (the delayed damage pool has already been reduced by your Armor/MR, it's not going to let you 'double dip' and reduce it again. Thus while it is 'technically' True Damage, it really isn't).

It delays some incoming damage. This means it takes 'extra' damage if they want to 1-shot/burst you. If I have 2000 HP, and they burst me for 2000 HP, I don't die right away because 600 of that is delayed. They can either try to do that extra 600 damage NOW (which is actually more than 600 but...), or I get a couple extra seconds to do something other than die. Likely actions are hit them (Life Steal) or get a heal/shield from someone.
