Suggested Champion Changes: Soraka

Now, there was numerous calls to simply place her back before pre-reworked status when the new Soraka was announced, much to the protest of the players who enjoy the new version, but I believe the best course of action would be to find a middle ground. The following is my attempt to bring back the fun and feel of the old Soraka, while balancing and complementing to some of the changes the reworked Soraka brought. I have each of her abilities in quotes, followed by an explanation of them. You may want to skip down to her E (Infuse) to get a better understanding of the other abilities.

Salvation Passive: Soraka gains 1(+0.5% Ability Power) bonus Armor and 1(+0.5% Ability Power) bonus Magic Resist for each nearby enemy champion.

While below 40% health, Soraka and nearby allied champions gain 25%/50%/100% base Health and Mana Regen while outside of combat for 5 seconds.

I do not know why, but a lot of supports were stripped of their passives, Soraka being one of them. Though hers was a bit more useful than some of the others, it was still sorely lacking. I moved her current passive(a bit weaker version albeit) to her W. This passive is more reflective of Consecration and the former Salvation, without having the difficult balancing issues and being more reflecting the current game state. If the second part of the passive becomes problematic, it can always be tied to Soraka's Ultimate instead.

Starfall Cost: 30/40/50/60/70 Mana Range: 550(900)

Active: Soraka calls down stars on a selected type of enemy units, dealing 40/65/90/115/140(+35% Ability Power) magic damage.

Infused: A large star is called down to a target location. Enemies standing in the explosion radius take 70/110/150/190/230(+35% Ability Power) magic damage. Enemies standing in the center take 150% damage and are slowed by 30/35/40/45/50% for 2 seconds.

Starfall acts more like it use to, but is now a unit-target ability and will deal damage only to the target type(Minions, Monsters, or Champions). If set to self cast, it will deal damage to enemy Champions. When cast after Infuse, it acts like the current Starfall: a ground-targeted area of effect ability with the same radial display(but with the animation of a larger star falling). Its cooldown is 4.5/4/3.5/3/2.5 seconds for the normal cast and 7/6.5/6/5.5/5 seconds for the Infused cast.

Astral Blessing Cost: 80/100/120/140/160 Mana Range: 700 (700)

Passive: Soraka gains 2%/4%/6%/8%/10% bonus movement speed towards allies that are at 40% of maximum health or lower and are within twice the casting range of Astral Blessing. This passive is lost while the ability is on cooldown.

Active: Soraka blesses another friendly unit, healing 50/70/90/110/130(+35% Ability Power)(+0.5%/1%/1.5%/2%/2.5% more per 1% missing health on target).

Infused: Heals 120/150/180/210/240 (+60% Ability Power) to an allied champion and gives them 5/10/20/40/80(+15% Ability Power) bonus Armor for 2 seconds. If cast on Soraka, the heal is reduced by 50%.

Astral Blessing now gives a slight speed increase to help reach damaged allies, and is more focused than Soraka's current passive. The normal cast of this ability is similar to the old, with lower base values but additional healing for missing health and can not be cast on Soraka. The infused version is similar to the current heal, but does not require health, gives bonus armor like the old ability, and can be cast on Soraka(though it is reduced). This ability would come out of her staff like previously. Its cooldown for the normal cast is 10 seconds and the cooldown for the Infused cast is 20 seconds.

Infuse Cost: 20/25/30/35/40 (50) Mana Range: Self (700)

Active: Soraka greatly empowers the next ability she cast within 8 seconds, drastically altering the ability.

Infused: If cast upon an ally, Soraka drains 5% of her maximum mana to restore 20/40/60/80/100(+5% Ability Power) mana to her target ally and gives them 5/10/15/20/25(+15% Ability Power) bonus Magic Resist for 2 seconds. Soraka can not use the successive cast of Infuse on herself or ally champions who do not require mana.

If cast upon an enemy Champion, Soraka silences the target for 1.5/1.75/2/2.5/2.75 seconds, dealing 40/70/100/130/160(+35% Ability Power) magic damage to them, and reduces their Magic Resist by 5/7/10/15/30(+5% Ability Power) for 2 seconds.

Infuse allows Soraka to reclaim much of her identity, while keeping her in check. It allows you to alter your abilities every so often, which is why most of her abilities have a secondary casting Range in brackets reflecting this change. It does not go on to cooldown until the next ability has been cast or the 8 seconds is up. That being so, this ability can be cast again in that 8 second window to gain a different effect. The Infused cast of this ability is similar to the pre-rework Infuse, as when it is cast on an allied champion it still takes 5% of your mana(plus the 50 Mana to cast the ability a second time), and it can not be cast on Soraka. However, it does now give Magic Resist to that ally similar to the armor bonus on Astral Blessing. When the Infused version is cast on an enemy champion, they now lose Magic Resist, in addition to an effect similar to the old. The ability comes out of Soraka's hand like it use to. Its cooldown is 10 seconds for a normal cast and 20 seconds if cast in succession.

Wish Cost: 100 Mana Range: Global

Active: Soraka calls upon the stars to heal 150/250/350(+55% Ability Power) to all allied Champions, removing Grievous Wounds beforehand. Wish's power is increased by 50% on each Champion below 40% Health.

Infused: In addition to the healing effect, the cooldown for this ability is reduced by 11%/13%/15%, and allied Champions can now be overhealed, with the excess healing being stored as temporary shield for 2 seconds.

I originally was going to leave Wish as it was, as I think it is still a great Ultimate, but I decided to give it an additional effect after all. The cooldown for the Infused cast is reflective of what Starfall use to do. The other effect is similar to Bloodthirster's shield and would look similar, but would be green with hints of purple. Its cooldown would be 160/145/130 and is reduced with the effect when Infused cast.

What are players impression of this? Do you like these changes? Do you think her kit would be overloaded? What would you like to see done with Soraka? Do you think she needs to be left as is?

Note: I give my expressed permission for Riot to use these ideas as their own.

Seems too overloaded in my opinion. I like Soraka because she's simple.

Just stahp, she 99% fine as is. Fix her E silence and call it a day. Her current kit is just like playing a WOW healer and it's much more fun and interesting than the old Soraka who was oppressive and bled into solo lanes. She can STILL go to solo lanes and the jungle, but it's very niche.

"Many players will admit that the reworked Soraka is not as fun to play with or against."
