Can we not get champ shards if we own all the champions?

I'm never going to use blue essence bc I have 20k ip and it is basically just going to go to waste... seems kind of silly on an item youre charging RP for

At least in hearthstone if you dust a card the dust you get is usable for everything... make just one universal essence maybe?
