@Meddler/Balance Team: Please don't touch Lux until after the immobile mage update

darkdill··4 votes·446 views

Who knows? One of the immobile mages might outpower her after the update. And honestly, Lux isn't OP; she's just safe, and the meta encourages safety because of nasty death timers.

But if you MUST nerf her due to all the Lux haters, the only thing I'd recommend is looking at her Q and R's hitboxes, which sometimes don't match the visuals. Smaller hitboxes have always been a good way to separate the great skillshot players from... well, I'm not going to say "good skillshot players" because they're actually bad.

EDIT: Downvoted before the topic even finished posting. WOW.

just amazing how the mains try to defend the most op champs

Why shouldn't we? You're just whining because you aren't smart enough to outplay her, just like everybody else who screams "NERF LUX OR WE'LL KILL YOU".

well at least be honest that she is op... of course you dont want a huge nerf to her.

Because she doesn't need a "huge nerf". A lovetap at most would be needed.

I.E., hitbox reduction on her Q. Means you have to aim better, but doesn't lower the damage.

I take it you find her E to require skill so you're already "aiming better".

Oh come one, after Taric rework she is almost guaranteed to become the most cheap and boring champion in the game. If she gets overnerfed nobody will miss her.

If they were to fix the hit boxes, those wouldn't be nerfs. They would be bug fixes. And it wouldn't change that fact that she is way too strong atm and needs to be nerfed.

a bugfix can at the same time be a buff or nerf.

shes strong at the moment, but shes honestly not crazy. op is right, if anything is done with her its probably gonna be minor changes. not huge nerfs.

malphite dropped 2% in winrate from a 20 damage nerf on his e lategame, and a small base health regen nerf.

i guess they might slightly reduce her e damage early on, or adjust her passive scaling to be less early and the same or more lategame.

If she suddenly stops hitting things she shouldn't be hitting, I'd argue that its irrelevant if its a buff or a nerf; stuff like that should be fixed regardless.

She sits on the higher end of win rates and almost always has a positive kda. She outclasses her "competition" Xerath and Ziggs so badly that they are never seen. She has higher burst, more cc, good wave clear, and she does what they do with one less spell because she has one of the best shield skills in the game. And she does all of this from incredibly long range with incredibly low cool downs that makes killing her outside of the laning phase one of the hardest tasks possible.

Malph dropped 2% in winrate means nothing when the changes have only been out for less than a week. You can't conclude anything based off of that.

Maybe Lux does just need a few early game adjustments, because I do agree that changes in the early game greatly impact the game as it goes on. All I do know is that she needs some adjustments because at the moment she is incredibly overbearing.

she's just safe

with burst mage levels of damage, from range beyond what 80% of the Mid roster is capable of, with incredible utility, decent mana costs and extremely low CD's.

She has literally everything all mages want... Hard CC, High Damage, Range beyond their opponents, Survive-ability, Low CD's and Decent Mana costs. The only issue is she has this over OTHER MAGES, so as far as mage standards go she is overpowered since she is capable of outperforming them in all areas.

Personally i think they need to make it so her E can't be detonated immediately or perhaps have it do less damage if you detonate it early. There is no counterplay to it, she either misses it or you are out of range. Her ult's hitbox definitely needs some work too, even standing a few feet beyond its range can sometimes result in you getting hit.
