Can you tell me how to get out of silver?

TrikzterzArma··24 votes·12,121 views

Because I have no fucking clue. I can't carry the games because 1 person can't carry games, but 1 person can lose it.

It literally feels like I'm fighting both the enemis and my team. When the enemy Gangplank pushes down 2 bot-lane turrets, the 4 other people in my team decides to take Rift Herald, and we gained NO advantage from it.

Silver in Solo is the worst experience I have ever had during my 7 years of playing this game. Personal skill doesn't matter the slightest, you have to fucking role a dice and pray that you get a good team

Edit. I'm getting downvoted, but for some reason people don't want to tell me why I'm wrong.

Edit 2. Some people just don't seem to get it.

Even if I am, let¨s say, 20/0/2 on MF. That shit doesn't matter at all if my midlaner fed Zed, because he can easily just ult in and oneshot me, no matter how fed I am. No matter how good I am, I CAN'T win the game on my own if the entire enemy-team are fed too. It's impossible

You can't. LoL's matchmaking is now a lottery system. You have no control over who your teammates are, unless they're your friends. You can't carry 4 morons on your team no matter how good you are because balance is fucked. The only way to get out of silver is to be lucky.

this. i played unranked with my plat friend, and i went like ABSURDLY easier to win than in silver.

i engage, they follow up, i ping back off, they back off. i ping drag, everyone goes to drag. i tell ping a tower dive at low leve , they flawlessly shuffle tower aggro, and heal and shield properly. it was an ENTIRELY different game, i could RELY on my teammates and it was like the most fun i ever had. is is SOO much easier to play in plat than it is in silver it it is actually absurd.

i had a MUCH easier time killing plats with a plat team than i did killing silvers with a silver team.. because the plat players weren't 9/2 at 12 min.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCPgH7FdhrQ Garen stalls baron enough for me (Warwick ) an Orianna (my friend) to get there. and we not only take baron but clean up the fight

all of this was without chat (although me and my friend did have voice coms)

Silver 5 46% WR Flex Bronze 4 33% WR

yea ur post is bullshit, most likely low sample size. i guarantee youd drop to at least silver 3 if given a p5 account.

Edit: that game was a fucking norm with the enemy bronze 1 karthus being 18/9 and second highest damage in the game next to your plat friends orianna.

Gotta love people making conclusions based on how 1 game went. "Oh I had a platinum friend on my team, so that must have been a platinum game which I carried". Then they wonder why Riot gives no shit about the boards lol.

Like, the guy is getting destroyed in bronze 4 elo, yet he somehow manages to put up a good fight and win vs platinum. Seems legit.

right.. becuase i have only ever played with that friend for one game... [zombie-brand-facepalm]

also. do u honestly think i CARE about my "flex" rank. i dont play flex.. i didnt even WANT to join them for flex.. they were just insistent because they had 4 and couldn't group as 4... so i reluctantly agreed. i still consider "flex" a extension of season six's "boosted que" and therefore care less about winning in flex than i do in norms. i don't honestly give a fuck about "flex que"

u can judge me all your want on my flex games and it work mean shit because i try harder in norms than i do in flex.

Even without trying you should be able to stomp fucking bronze 4 flex games jesus christ

While this guy's claim does sound dubious, there is this guy that makes YouTube videos where sometimes he put a Bronze player in a Diamond game. I admit going to them expecting to see the Bronze players get shit on hard and was actually surprised at how well they held up. There was even one where a Bronze player killed a Diamond player in lane and went on to kinda carry.

ChallengerTier2 votes

Those games are 100% bullshit, if i played 50 games on a bronze account i guarantee i would stomp lane every game and have a minimum 95% wr

Look up GhostToLane on YouTube and judge for yourself.

I never said that it was always your teammates who'd be morons. You assumed that.

All these people giving advice i feel like they haven't actually played in Silver this season.

Silver sorta always had the problem of mixing new players with ones that have been in silver for a while. The key difference that has changed this season is the ability to carry. Silver is a lot different from previous seasons.

Bot lane is snowballing a lot more quicker so the "trying to capitalize on your laner's weaknesses means a lot less when bot lane is getting double kills left and right.

Picking late game and trying to farm for late game is a lot less viable when that same bot lane is storming through your turrets like they are made of paper(you can have 2 inhibs down by 20).

Objectives are hard to get when the jungler is not ever in the jungle and always holding objects/when ahead taking them(Junglers in previous seasons had less pressure and were always underleveled compared to solo lanes, not anymore, they clear fast and level fast all while being healthy).

The problem is the people giving advice about silver seem to have no idea whats going on in silver right now. The fact of the matter is currently your games are decided by your worst teammates.

Zed genius5 votes

Just get better and win more. There's not a secret formula of climbing that players who have gone past silver won't tell you

TrikzterzArma7 votes

But it seems impossible. In close to every game I've played, every other lane in my team lost. I can't carry a 1v5 scenario.

TempName548461 votes

you have a 73% win ratio on your most played champion, this thread is a fucking meme and you should stop smurfing.

Snowman Arc2 votes

He only has 11 games on MF lol. That's 7 wins and 4 losses. How is that smurfing?

TempName548461 votes

dude has almost 10 cs per minute in silver and 14-3 on mf this guy is at least plat and yall are being memed lmao

Snowman Arc1 votes

He has 7.6 cs per min, that's far away from 10 lol. Also, if he is plat, then he wouldn't be 7-4 on his main champ.

TrikzterzArma1 votes

Why not? I need to repeat again?

I can't carry a game where all the other lanes fed. It doesnt matter how fed I am as MF, if the enemy Zed is also fed, he will oneshot me, no matter what I do.

Snowman Arc1 votes

Which is why you don't play MF if you want to have more impact and agency over what you can do as a solo player.

TempName548461 votes

his 14-3 or 14-4 on mf, whether that's actually his main champion or not is irrelevant 7-4 is perfectly normal for a plat playing in silver. hell i'm dia and i had 2-6 on my main champion in silver on a smurf, this guy simply isn't playing enough games to climb even if he won 100% of his games and he has no trouble winning games in silver and this thread would imply.

Snowman Arc1 votes

He has played 11 games with MF and he is 7-4. You can't be diamond and be 2-6 on your main champion. You can't be that unlucky that you get 8 games where all your team is trolling.

TempName548461 votes

he has 6 wins 0 losses on mf last season in same mmr. you can be that unlucky even thought im not sure where you get the 8 games from with 6 losses, it did grow to 88% by the time i hit plat but thats besides the point.

Illabethe1 votes

Not hard at all on MF. She can guarantee a 2 shot minion by 7 minutes, and 1 shot by 15 minutes, far before any other adc, because of Love Tap. It also behaves like an auto attack reset when she does, creating easy wave clears.

Besides, in Silver MF = Point and click and get a Pentakill. Just follow your dear Lethality build and you will always get scores like this.

thaBeast4 votes

if you play solo duo play flex and vice versa and do it as practice also while you are doing the opposite queue set a rank as a goal but make it realistic as by the end of the season and once you hit that goal go back to the other queue also the way league works is one patch one thing can be way to strong and the next its the weakest

edit im bronze but im starting to climb rn so take the advice if you want

TrikzterzArma7 votes

I got Plat 3 after my 10 first games this season, gold 3 after my 10 first last season, so I'm sitting at Plat 3 atm. I'd rather play Flex, alot less toxic

i play flex cause i feel more relaxed and my games been going better

Snowman Arc1 votes

How did you even get to plat 3 in flex and can't get out of bronze?

I just saw some of your games, and in flex, you have quite a lot of defeats and in all your games, your damage percentage is very low. You obviously don't belong there, it's just Riot's division placement is flawed. I was unranked on my smurf, lost all 10 placement games and got silver 2.

You seem to be doing a lot better in solo duo than you do in flex, but you still haven't played a lot of solo duo games to prove that you can't climb. You have only played 13 games in solo duo, play more and then you can make assumptions. As it stands right now, you THINK you are platinum 3 elo so you should be stomping silver, but in reality, you are more like gold 5 elo. Do you deserve to get to gold? Probably yes, is it gonna be hard if you don't improve? Probably yes as well.

TrikzterzArma1 votes

Then I have no idea of what you were looking at, because I dealt extreme amount of damage as MF and Caitlyn on my flex-games.

As I said, I've been playing this game for 7 years, but decided to play ranked on this account very late last season. I am good at this game, I know I am. But playing with 4 other people that rather chases down one enemy than take two turrets makes it EXTREMELY hard

Snowman Arc1 votes

http://eune.op.gg/summoner/userName=giorgos21cy Doesn't seem that hard to me though. I get teams where at least 2 or 3 people are, let's say, very bad, and yet I still manage to win most games.

P.S.: Disregard the win ratio in solo duo, since the first 16 games were defeats to try and get as low as possible.

MasterofSFL4 votes

You don't.

The way Silver is right now, it's not about you carrying, it's about your team not losing their lanes. You'd be better off just taking the rest of the season to practice, find two lanes that work for you and start specializing in them for next season or just really learning how to use Hyper-carry Auto-attackers.

Frickface3 votes

Don't operate on a shitty buzzphrase like "I can't carry the games because 1 person can't carry games, but 1 person can lose it." Phrases like that are basically just topic of the week on boards so people can complain. It's a team game, you were never supposed to be able to solo carry. 1 person feeding isn't going to through the game either, as long the rest of you operate as a team to shut down whoever got fed off of them. In many games I've played, yes, one person feeding is going to have an impact, but in every occasion it took another player to start making shitty decisions to actually lose the match.

Figure out what roles you want to play, how much impact you want to feel you have, and learn a handful of champions for those roles. I suggested learning picks for yourself of champions you like playing that aren't out of meta, as well as ones that are probably going to get banned but you can whip out and smash ass if they don't. Make efforts to shot call. No, you cannot force your team to listen to you, but you can at least make the effort to operate as a team. Don't play into tilt streaks, if you've lost 2 in a row it's probably better to take a break or at least play a normal or two. I've finally gotten a tiny win streak by alternating between ranked and normals because it felt like I could never consecutively win.

TrikzterzArma6 votes

Dude, it's not about that everyone are just complaining about 1 person not being able to carry. It's about the one person is enough to lose the game, but 1 person isn't enough to win the game. It feels unfair.

I'm a MF-main, and I've played her for close to 7 years. I know her kit entirely. But it's that the team I have often don't know what they're doing.

My support two games in a row would just randomly rush into the enemies without even pinging me, leaving himself extremely vulnurable without me being able to help. Or when the support decides to camp mid, and leave me 1v2 bot (I'm not joking, this happens all the time). Our jungler decides to never gank us, at the same time as the enemy jungler babysits bot for the entire laning-phase.

It literally feels like I'm alone in the team, because I have no idea of what the other people are doing most of the time.

rtbf2234347211 votes

TrikzterzArma (EUW) i suggest you that you start to play more late game ADC.

Miss Fortune is a early mid game ADC. If you think you cant capitalize on her early game in every game, you need to have a 2º ADC with a good mid and late game. You need to be capable of hipper carrying when you think your teammates will not be able to help you get an advantage early with Miss Fortune.

TrikzterzArma1 votes

I'm able to two-shot the squishy enemies lategame with MF, so that's not the problem. The problem is that my team doesn't know that their adc is the one who wins the game, so they never protect me at all.

abdollah562732 votes

Your best bet is to play low-elo pubstompers such as Yi, Trynda and Warwick.

Or get a reliable duo partner

I'm Gold in China, and even I have a hard time getting out of Silver in EUW

You keep losing games till you demote to Bronze.

WitchQueen Annie2 votes

People fiesta fight all the time (won't close out the game even when ahead) so just focus on power farming. Pick someone you can always win lane/go even with and has a godlike late game. Then carry Late.

Focus on safely pushing towers and minions everywhere. People in Silver don't consistently "collect..." Collect and gain 1-2 EXP lead to carry.

I recommend Vladimir Viktor Gangplank

If you know how to lane with them and how to play their godlike late games (2-3+ items) you can carry most games. You'll lose maybe 30-40% of games still though if your team throws too hard early but even with those, because Silvers are bad at closing games... you can still get to 3 items and carry.

Snowman Arc1 votes

I agree with the strategy, but stay away from Viktor right now. I mained him in season 6, he was really strong, but now, he is extremely weak. Very poor laning phase and very poor pace till he reaches late game. He takes way too much time to get going, to the point that you are probably gonna get ran over by then.

Malix Farwin2 votes

I mean i can tell you the life of a Mid in Silver

Bot feeds double kill first blood less than 1m into laning

Then said enemy bot is so ahead early that the JG doesn't bother ganking them early so sits mid all laning because they have nothing better to do since the camps are easy , quick, and have long respawns

Support also roams mid as well so all you can really do is farm and watch as your bot lane continues to feed.

The pressure from constant JG and Supp ganks then basically mean you have to farm near/at tower which means less cs overall.

Then top lane kinda does not matter unless they massively feed.

Then when bot loses their tower(usually around 10m) they proceed to come mid and start taking your farm so you start getting behind.

Then you proceed to lose because farmed up feeders are still feeders, they take all the farm and still die anyways.

Then you go to the forums and have to listen to people give generic advice thats obviously outdated.

These are most silver games, you are either on one side of the fence or the other and in the rare cases none of this happens you actually get an enjoyable game.

EndlessSorcerer1 votes

Back in S5, I just picked waveclear/poke and sieged. If we lost a teamfight, I'd try to stay alive so I could waveclear under turret. It helps to have CC to disengage fights or catch out-of-position enemies.

Varus, Ziggs and Nasus brought me to Platinum rather quickly back then.

However, I'm not sure if that would still work.

TrikzterzArma2 votes

Probably not, you can't carry a game on your own.

LetMeCarry19833 votes

It won't. I used this in season 5 a lot with Azir. Was a super reliable way to carry feeders. Coming back from shit like 17-2 at 15 minutes was consistently doable with this strat. In season 8, it just doesn't work. The enemy team would just roll over you and the turrets in like 2 seconds flat.

Snowman Arc2 votes

Well, such stomps were hard to come back from even back then. Right now, you can still attempt to come back with something like Sivir. As long as your team has a little bit of brain, they will understand after a point that you are the most important win condition they have so they will help you and protect you and let you farm up and carry them. At least that's how I force them to play, if they all fall behind.

Snowman Arc1 votes

It still works. I play Sivir and it's easy to win if the game doesn't get extremely out of control early. I do what you said; waveclear a lot, chip down towers slowly and defend well when we are in a disadvantage. Eventually, Sivir gets strong enough to be a teamfight god.

Veraska1 votes

You should play jax, jax is great at exsposing weaknesses in gameplay and solo carrying

EvilMoustacheMan1 votes

As overtuned as botlane is, silver elo is a shitstorm when it comes to the quality of teammates you get. Unless you have rocksolid kiting and positioning you are better off playing a pubstomper champ in a solo lane like Katarina for example.
