Rather than facing Jayce.

The guy's the nightmare of any melee champion top lane.

Especially since he gets all the benefits of a ranged champion with none of the weaknesses. Trading with him is virtually impossible due to his NOPE hammer swing and his poke's goddamn nasty.

Now I can hold lane and not chainfeed, that's something I learned in my road to Diamond, but holy cow is it frustrating and anger inducing to play against him.

And why is it that every single one of these A-hole champions have to be so frigging smug

Actually a lot of traditional lane bullies beat Wu pretty hard in lane. Darius, Renek, Riven, etc and tanks like Malph, Nasus (15 minutes in or so) :p

Don't play against Morde enough to really have an opinion

Well Wukong is basically Irelia but more cheese mode. Less sustain, but similar kinda bursting to squishies with a point click gap closer. Clone helps disengage from ranged & minion retaliation. Scales into a better aoe threat.

Check the statistics and Wu typically does well versus squishy ranged top laners. He's just less safe than Irelia due to lack of sustain so she's the popular one. And yeah I think Irelia is just slightly beefier vs. melee too so she is more generalist bound to be more widely used.

Not really. Jayce is actualy pretty good threat to Wukong due to his AOE abilities and his knock back. Wukong can pull off the assassin role (though I think it would be skirmisher going by how Riot defines those two), but he works best as a bruiser. Top laners with AOE, poke potential or have a better survivability (I.E. Darius heal, Riven sheild) than Wukong can beat him. I will say he is one of the few champs who are not completely negated by any champ specifically as knowing how your enemy works can turn the tide.

elise poke was nerfed to oblivion in early game nidalee was reworked into the jungle vlad was reworked to be shit in early game since ryze's rework his early game poke against melee isn't here anymore. time to do something for the others.

As a tank player, I fucking despise Jayce because it seems like there's nothing I can do against him. I don't have the damage to burst him, and he has enough self peel to keep me off with any attempt. Plus the ranged poke.

A good Jayce is impossible to fight IMO. Makes me want to punch his face more.

Yesterday I had a fight vs Karma as Darius (blind picks)

Believe that's just as bad. None of the abilities of Darius can catch her without flash. She has perfect disengage and can poke for days with little to no mana costs

He has Sona level armor and he's a walking suit of armor lol. Pretty sad when Soraka has more armor than the Iron Revenant.

I'll be honest, back in Jayce hey day I ALWAYS hated facing him in lane. Either he pokes you to death or you engage and he knocks you away till he was ready to engage you. But one day I finally learn how to face him from fighting him all the time and soon after no one was playing him anymore. Overall, I am NOT looking forward to the day he becomes a common pick again >_>
