Why does Lee Sin's Resonating Strike deal a % of your missing health? Isn't that too anti-tank?

Remember when they nerfed Kha'Zix's Q to no longer deal a percentage of your missing health because it was deemed too good at killing tanks? Well why does Lee get to keep such a mechanic?

Wouldn't his 2Q be better if it dealt a flat amount of damage based on how low his target is (ala Nidalee's Takedown) rather than a percentage of their missing health? Still good (if not better) vs squishies, but doesn't give him anti-tank capabilities.

Because 340Basedmg+1,8AD obviously are not enough and a near 100% pick&ban-rate with consitent >>50%winrate in worlds suggest he´s close enough to being balanced already...

sigh

Because Lee Sin is the definition of "overloaded kit".

It's not tanks who suffer from it. Tanks have armor to stop it and reduce it. It's sqyushies who suffer

If Lee gets Last Whisper, armor doesn't mean much, does it?

Plus % health damage is ALWAYS better against tanks than against squishies because tanks have more health to shred.

Given that Lee is already pretty piss poor with killing a tank, I don't think him having a slight anti-tank move means anything.

It's an execute. That's why the standard damage combo on Lee Sin is Q E Q. It's only effective against a tank that you've already damaged significantly. It's going to do insignificant damage to any target that's not already close to death so I don't see how this is "anti-tank".

"Wouldn't his 2Q be better if it dealt a flat amount of damage based on how low his target is rather than a percentage of their missing health?"

This is confusing, what do you mean by "flat amount of damage based on how low the target is"? That sounds like it would work functionally the same as percentage of missing health. For example if his ability did 200 damage to targets with X health and 300 damage to targets with y health there's very little difference other than scaling.

But to answer your question, no it wouldn't because otherwise he'd scale even worse into the late game. As it is Lee Sin is strongest in the early to mid game but falls off in the late game.

I meant something more like Nidalee's Takedown. This way, the damage is far easier to calculate, and doesn't make Volibear's or Mundo's massive health pools seem like a joke to Lee.

Okay so you mean having a damage cap? Because her ability works very similarly to his only there is a cap to the damage. But what I'm saying is those massive health pools aren't a joke until that tank has already taken significant damage. It's not as though Lee can just two shot a tank with a double Q.

No, but having an execute on a seven second cooldown with a 90% AD ratio on each hit is pretty ridiculous.
