@Riot, URF was one of the best things you've ever created for the community

I know this is the second post I made about the URF changes, but I really feel like Riot is just ruining one of the best things they've ever made. AURF, though sometimes we'd get shitty champs, was still awesome. But this whole Christmas themed skin thing is ruining URF. Riot, I LOVE URF and other people do too. We don't get to play it more than twice a year and it's THE BEST GAME MODE YOU'VE EVER CREATED. Please consider changing it back.

ARURF > URF

Honestly, I like URF more than ARURF. We can't really say that one mode is definitely better than the other. We should just get 2 modes at the same time, similar to Invasion or Doom Bots.

ARURF > URF

how dare you stating your opinion.

100% agree- that being said the only thing i'm sad about with snowball ARURF is the limits in champs but it's acceptable if luck isn't too bad.

Dorans Pants10 votes

it gets progressively worse

-first no choice -then no variety -and i still face the same champs over and over, so we didn´t even solve the problem from the original. wp

No to mention that apparently only toxic as hell urf champs get christmas skins? I swear to god there is a Maokai or Veigar on the enemy team. Every. Goddamn. Time. Meanwhile you get to eat infinite Ziggs, Karma, and Fiddlestick's poke.

Original URF where everyone picked their champions was the exact same 15 champions being spammed over and over and over and over and over. ARURF was focused to widen the amount of champions used because it's annoying having Zed, Sona, Jayce, Mundo, Garen, Alistar, Shaco, Ezreal, Syndra, (list continues) in every single game of URF.

With ARURF, it ended up being "Whoever gets most of the broken champions used in old URF wins" which was equally annoying when your team was a bunch of crap tier ones in URF.

Snowdown URF has eliminated a number of the broken champions from old URF such as Zed, Jayce, Mundo, Garen as examples which makes the mode feel better. However, the mode's nature is still cancer, making it only fun for a few games at best before it stops being enjoyable unlike other RGMs that you can play all day and have a blast in.

I'll take modes like Doom Bots, Dark Star, and even Ascension over URF any day because they can be enjoyable longer than a few games (though Ascension is in rotation too often).

I hate when people bring this up because every iteration of ARURF I've only see the exact same 15 champions.

If variety was the goal, it failed miserably.

They succeeded with variety, just not the way the crybabies of the boards wanted it.

How did they succeed? You still see shit like Jax, Malphite, Swain, Irelia, Tryndamere, Fizz, etc. in almost every game, since you get a re-roll after pretty much every game and can dodge when that's not enough.

I got Ashe 4 times in row. So random.

I mean....yeah...that's kinda how random works....

Agreed. I didnt like ARURF much more than URF, but this snow battle URF is actually really boring.

I was a huge fan of URF, but tbh, it was a mistake.

Riot banned Sona but not Fizz and I think that's incredible [zombie-brand-facepalm]

I personally still have high hopes that we get Nurf.

Love how people use the strawman argument of the 15 champs. Meanwhile they’re still in urf. Malzahar, fizz, gnar, maokai, viegar, katarina, leblanc....

They won't do it because URF actually makes people leave the game, as in it makes long-term players stop playing altogether. Check their latest Ask Riot, someone linked it in the comments already.

The same way they won't remove Dynamic Queue because it's better than Solo Queue.
They're stubborn, but eventually they'll understand that the community is right.

How is that even remotely related to the topic? URF makes people stop playing the game for some reason, that has nothing at all to do with "Riot being stubborn". And note that I'm talking about regular URF, not ARURF or Snowdown ARURF.

ARURF also makes people leave. There's no info about the Snow version though. As I said, it's another case of Riot trying wild things when the answer is quite simple.
Also, I technically left the game because of URF too. The absence of it specifically (and the announcement that the next VGU won't be Mordekaiser).

Just a note-

Riot never, in any way AFAIK, insisted this is replacing ARURF.

This is a Winter bonus mode that has ARURF attributes. You'll still get regular ARURF again at some point.

Considering these posts and most posts in general have much less upvotes than normal, I'd assume it's because more people are playing urf and aren't looking at the boards as much, even though it is arurf.
