Don't remake Nocturne's kit

Riot, there is a reason why Nocturne had the fewest votes for being reworked. I get that you're trying to "fix" and update champions and modernize them. But for the love of God, as a hardcore Nocturne main, please don't mess with his kit too much.

Yeah, there are a million people who will complain about how Nocturne can jump on them, but his ultimate is such an iconic ability. The thrill of playing Nocturne is all about diving onto people and then seeing if you can kill them and get away in one piece. If you take that away, he just won't be Nocturne anymore. Mess with his damage, tweak some of his numbers, give him a visual update if you must... But don't replace that ultimate.

And while we're at it, the rest of his kit is just so NIFTY. I love that spell shield. I love doing mobility tricks with the trail on his Q. I love putting the fear on someone and masterfully juking their skill shots until it triggers. His passive provides awesome clear and sustain, which is exactly what a squishy champ like Nocturne needs.

Riot, you've reworked quite a few champs. Some were good choices. Some were just bad. I admit, I am TERRIFIED that you're going to get to Nocturne in your list of champions to "update" and destroy his whole identity in the process. Please, learn from what you've done right and what you've done wrong, and don't kill what Nocturne is.

Nocturne needs his ultimate overhauled. Thats all. It isnt keeping up with modern League.

His QWE are all very functional, simple, but solid abilities.

By overhauling his ult, i dont mean remove its iconicness in his kit. same theme, just overhaul it to function in the current game.

What I would do- Passive- remove the AP scaling, give it the tiniest of tiny AD scaling. Q-Leave it the same, bake 10/20/30/40/50 lethality into the ability itself(meaning the ability ignores armor, but doesn't make Nocturne ignore armor.).

Completely rework his ult. Nocturne presses R Darkness stays the same. Nocturne fades off the map(Picture a Thanos snap), and becomes untargetable and quite literally non-existent on the map. Nocturne chooses a target, the same way he does now. Instead of diving onto a target, Nocturne rips himself out of the target(Like Kayns ult), because yada yada he's in their nightmares yada yada whatever. Selected target is immediately feared for 1.5seconds upon Nocturnes emergence, allowing Nocturne a guaranteed E, but still allowing 0.5seconds of room for flash to counterplay him, as it should.

Deals ZERO damage.(Unless the target is unforgivably isolated and out of position, slap 200/400/600 damage on it.).- this should be rare. Upon emerging from his selected target, Nocturne is a shadowy figure surrounded in a blinding zone(Think Graves smokebomb). The blinding zone, smoke cloud eminates from Nocturne, and travels with him. Enemies outside of the cloud cannot target Nocturne, but can still hit him with skillshots. Enemies within the cloud can target Nocturne but are blinded to the outside world. Lasts 7seconds. Killing blows/Assists allow for a short windowed recast.

He was my vote but I actually am fine with leaving him the way he is and just giving him a visual and voice update. I love his current gameplay and I think his ult is iconic.

There isn't a single place they said they were reworking Nocturne...he was one of the lowest on the voting therefor it wont happen. If anything they will just do a VU or skill updates like they are doing for malphite/lulu/ziggs/tryn.

imo they should change his fear, its almost as dumb as fiddlesticks fear. I dont mean broken or useless, i just mean its not very fun to play against, with the only counter flashing or playing someone with dashes

I agree. Leave Nocturne alone. For me that played alot in the beginning of the game like to have a champion that has almost always been the same. I love Nocturne with all of my heart. If u wanna change him u can swap back to old range on ult ;) . But please leave him alone because when i play him he feels somehow different to all the other champions in the game.
