When should you give up/not give up on a 4v5 game?

Had a game a couple games ago with an afk. I was carrying as Kat and got a penta (1v5 boiz) in our 4v5 game. WE "thought" we could win. I know its possible to win 4v5s but is that only when your ENTIRE team is fed ? It's pretty difficult to defend all 3 lanes in an "even" game without getting cornered eventually.

Snowballing Late game comps maybe?

You shouldnt give up if your team is snowballing and your ahead in objectives. You should give up when the rest of your team is doing bad and wants to quit. Cant tell you how many times i got triggered because we had a afk, no turrets and it was 30 v 10 and that one guy would not surrender.
