Quinn vs Malphite I noticed something
Okay, yeah I get there should be counters in the game, but fighting Malphite as Quinn is an uphill battle, if that hill were Mt Everest and you were carrying 4x your body weight while walking backwards.
You can't do anything to him. He just brings a bunch of health pots to lane and you are screwed. You can't push lane, you can't freeze lane, you can't get aggressive on him as his one ability shreds your health and he just outsustains.
So what am I supposed to do in this matchup, honestly? Quinn vs Malphite. I'm Quinn.
I can't even use my passive proc because I have to get within his Q range to use it. All I can do is max Q first and hope to just spam it at him from range while he totally controls the flow of the lane. I feel like this matchup is EXTREMELY easy for Malphite to the point where I'm not sure what sort of challenge there is at all. He just walks toward me without a care, tries to target his Q on me, then walks away. I can't do anything to him. Even if I passive AA, vault, AA and Q him, his ONE SINGLE TARGETED Q deals the same amount of damage to me, except he has like 5 health pots and I don't.
Why is he doing SO MUCH DAMAGE with his basic Q and NO ATTACK ITEMS AT ALL? If he's going to be the tankiest champ in the game, why give him such a powerful ability that requires zero skill? I'm sitting there dodging all over the place, dipping and moving, trying to find openings... he just runs right at me and presses a button. Wins every trade and I'm left thinking this game is stupidly imbalanced.
I get it, I play Quinn top so I get no right to complain, blah blah, except I do, and I am.
Tell me how is anyone supposed to beat him in lane without having your jungler babysit for you. It's ridiculous that I hit him 50 times and he throws 5 targeted Q's at me and I'm near dead and he's 100% HP and 50%+ mana left.
?
•You aren't so squishy now
•You shred his armor down
•You can get in, hit him, and phage will help you back out before he can q
•You can vault off his face 20% more
