The kha'zix Q nerfs won't stop him from evolving the skill first in almost most situations.

I'm not arguing that kha'zix isn't OP. He's overpowered and that's pretty much a fact.

But Kha'zix right now still evolves QEW/r except right now R is useless if not evolved first. It's a meme among kha'zix mains to show how bad it is. (I know that LCS'zix goes QWE but that's because you can rely on your team in LCS but you can't in Soloqq.)

Now the question is, Does kha'zix evolve Q first because the other evolutions suck or is it because evolve Q is too good?

The answer?

Neither. It's because of the 4 seconds cd on base Q. That's why. After Qing you have to sit and afk for 4-2.2 seconds (Depeding on cdr) waiting for the skill to come back up while you get pounded. The other evolutions are good, but Q is the one that fits kha'zix's play style the best and allows him to kill stuff. Right now, if you decide to not evolve Q, you lose the following:

Faster clear Objective control (Blue buff, Red buff, Dragon) 1v1ing ability Damage Cooldowns

If you do decide to not evolve Q you get the following: more map leverage more slows

Not evolving Q is just loosing too much damage and in a damage heavy meta there isn't much else to say.

TLDR: Kha'zix will still evolve Q as long as the CD is 4 seconds. The solution? I don't know.

Yeah but the evolved q is more telegraphed now. Meaning you can escape the machine gun.

Q being his staple, would make no sense to have it be an OPTIONAL evolution.

Inevitably, I think that's counters protective for his role of an Assassin. Simply put it, he will always make the pick that makes him the best Assassin, and the best Jungler.

Honestly, most Assassins arn't particularly Adaptive to begin with. They usually have one Job, (Snag the squishy, then either mop up the fight, or get out.)

Not to mention that, as a Jungler, your still in the laning phase when you reach level 6, so their isn't much to adapt to, you simply pick the best option for improving Jungle clear, and ganking ability. (Also, if he's as powerful and snowbally as he is right now, He has no need to be adaptive if he's always ahead)

I don't imagine his Q evolve at level 6 changing any time soon. Though you could probably adjust his other evolves so that he can be more adaptive later in the game.

it's just a small nerf so he's not using Q as quickly in succession ... don't overreact it's a good approach, and yes khazix will still max q first, that's not really a question.

Q first was always the first evolve. Except back in season 3 when his evolved ult gave him 50% damage reduction

That 15% cdr difference will actually make a big difference. Especially when it comes to assassins, everything has to be timed otherwise you won't get the kill.

You were right with the Q. Everything else is not worth evolving first. UNLESS, you are behind. Then I would evolve Wings first Q second.

He loses his entire kill pressure if he doesn't evolve Q.

However, his Evolve Q iso damage could use a little base damage nerf.

Personally I don't think he is OP, they removed a lot of damage from his kit is the assassin update. he is just FOTM. No one complained about him before.
