Some things to look at before raging in bronze/silver

After looking at another post I remembered some games I played in bronze earlier this season. I remember my teammates getting mad and upset when my team was ahead or even with the enemy team. Like irrationally mad and rage quitting when we had a really good chance of winning. Not sure if that is something that happens a lot but wanted to provide a short list of things to look at before deciding to /surrender and rage/flame your team. (You should never rage/flame).,

Now... the obvious first one would be kill score. However, I am not going to list it because that is already looked at and my fear is its the only thing looked at by some players. So instead of only looking at kills you should also look at....:

  1. CS - CREEP SCORE This one is huge. You have a teammate who is 5-0 with 100 cs? Nice. But if the enemy team laner is 0-5 but 200 cs. Lets just round and say 20cs = kill so these players are actually even although people will say "o wow 5-0 so fed" when really they should have very close to the same amount of items. So yes my friends.... CS IS HUUUUGGEEEEE. YUUUUGHHEEE.

  2. Towers. Who has more towers down? Your team down in kills but you have killed 5 enemy turrets while they have only taken 1? It seems the enemy team spending too much time chasing kills rather than pushing objectives. Big advantage for your team.

  3. Dragons. Your team down in kills but has 3 dragons while enemy has 0? Could be a nice advantage. Figure out what dragons you have so you know what advantage you have over your enemy. Assuming the game goes late if your team can secure elder the additional buff from your past dragons will be huge and give you a very large advantage even if the enemy is ahead.

  4. Team comp. Do you have a really strong late game team comp? if you do while the enemy team has a strong early game it should be no surprise they are ahead early. Just have to hold out for late game.

One thing I did want to say about kills. From my prior experience it seems like some players (generally more in bronze/silver 3-5) area are more concerned with their own personal score rather than the teams score. So if they doing good they feel good and want to carry but if they doing poorly they get upset and rage. The thing is... you don't have to play great every game to climb. I would argue a large part of climbing is actually learning to get carried. So instead of seeing your score as 0-4 "well fuck it gg ff". You should think "I am 0-4 I better play more passive in lane. Looks like our mid is 5-0 so I will try to play off them and keep them alive later in team fights". Climbing the ladder is partially about doing well and carrying games, but the other part is continuing to play and contribute when your behind and need help getting carried. So even though you might be 0-6 your team is not necessarily completely screwed. Look to see who is doing well on your team and try to have that players back. Die for them if you have to. And definitely play more passive and stop fighting your lane opponent because if they beat you the first 6 times guess what? They definitely going to beat you that 7th unless you have help from your team.

Feel free to add more items to the list. These are just some things I look at rather than just kills.

Title says silver/bronze since other elos should generally be aware of looking at other things rather than just kills score. Although I am sure there are people who don't. Lets call them boosted animals for the sake of argument.
