Riot please stop the boosting. Its such a huge middle finger to any player who spends their time actually grinding the ranked ladder. It doesn't even matter what rank you are. Having someone reach a higher rank than someone else just because their boosted is wrong. After your post about solo queue never coming back I decided to try and cope with dynamic queue. I have even spammed on the boards why I don't think dynamic queue vs solo is a big deal at lower elo. But honestly I was wrong. Between friends being boosted and playing with boosted players this just needs to stop. There is no point in grinding the ladder when ranks mean nothing. You shouldn't have to be challenger or master for your rank to mean something. That is just an unrealistic goal for most of the players who play this game. Please restore ranked integrity at all ranks I beg you. Ranking up the ladder should mean the growth in a summoner. For the average summoner they reach many walls on their climb up the ladder. To surpass these walls means a growth in ones mechanics and game knowledge. When players skip this process by being boosted they not only ruin the game for others but themselves as well. These players are also toxic as they believe they know the game better than their peers but they do not have the skills and game knowledge to play at that level and therefore don't understand their mistakes and become frustrated. Which in turn frustrates their teammates and creates a toxic environment and unevenly matched games. Please do what is right. Restore ranked integrity not only at the top , but all ranks as well.

For some reason I don't like the golden border in both current client and the new alpha client, silver loks much better, though I do know you have to be at least gold to get the skin. :/

Good god plat borders are hideous. Never, in any season, have we had a nice looking plat border or icon. I'd rather have a bronze one TBH. No joke, if I have an account in plat towards the end of the season, I'm liable to let it decay to gold or just spam grind some games to get diamond just so I don't have to have a hideous plat border ever again. Once was more than enough.

Likeamaws had a master tier border last season.

It has a challenger one this season from team 5s.

If I have some random account that has a plat border I'm getting rid of that thing, the only account I have that has a border that matters is the one that has the best border. Which it won't have next season either... Sad. If it ain't diamond it ain't worth having, and if it ain't worth having AND its ugly as sin... I REALLY don't want it. Lol. Gold borders look legit af.

I think the majority understood what he meant by it.. When you take things out of context, many things can end up sounding insulting. He specified that he'd rather stick with a Gold boarder than a Platinum one on a smurf account. Obviously it'd be easier to just let it drop it gold, instead of grinding more games to get the diamond boarder. When you know that your rank is above diamond, being picky about what boarder you want on a smurf shouldn't be a problem - it wasn't directed at anyone. :p

Lol, dude, you JUST finally state what I actually said and my purpose for saying it and then refute the fact that your outburst and rudeness was way off base in the same sentence.

Read your sentence again mate. Try to take the time to figure out why it makes zero sense.

Just in case you can't, I'll spell it out for you. My dislike for play borders has only to do with its aesthetic appeal, which, to me and many others is the ugliest of all the borders. As a player who can achieve ANY border, I would prefer to have one that I think looks cool. Never, anywhere, in ANY of this reasoning for my dislike of the plat borders can any portion of these statements be misconstrued as an insult to plat players, or any other low level player. The statement I made doesn't refer to players in any way shape or form. It doesn't invalidate any accomplishments of any one else, ever. My statement merely says what it says, I have a choice of any border I want for any account I make. I will not choose the border I think is ugliest as my choice. I will choose one that i think looks cool. And depending on how much time and effort I am willing to invest in that account my choices of the "cool" borders might be limited.

Can you figure out now why everyone thinks you've acted like a child?

Ranked should mean something, and IMO it used to. Now, I have to contend with asshat boosters at my level trying to tell me how to play the game, when in fact they know jack shit.

ok but for people to use rank to discredit or talk down to or belittle others who might be lower rank or dont rank is wrong. this is the elitist attitude i am referring to. people who are gold will go into games vs bronze and then type shit in chat say like EZ , GET GUD , or WHEN YOURE ON MY LEVEL THEN YOUR OPINION MATTERS. that isnt healthy for the community and creates a bully environment and a toxic environment. people need to realize unranked, bronze, gold, diamond rank that at the base of it all its still a game. you win , you lose. play the game for what it is meant for , go have fun. just as i have been completely discredited regarding my thoughts or inputs about champs items gameplay ect cuz i chose along time ago to stop playing rank. now i have over 2500wins including rank does that mean i know less then then that gold 5 player? just cuz i dont rank? rank is a choice not the deciding factor of be all on this game. part of the reason why i dont rank is due to nerve damge in my left shoulder/neck and back from being hit by a drunk driver on a interstate at highspeed. i know i dont have the same reaction time or dexterity that others due. also why i dont play champs that have intense mechanical play. i play to enjoy the game cuz i have nothing else going on or nothing on tv. majority of the time im playing i have pain and numbness in my left arm/hand. im not saying feel sorry for me. but just cuz my reaction time and reflexes are slightly disabled and you may be able to push buttons faster dont mean i dont know anything about the game.

hell for that matter in 2 of the 3 games i played last night i was top lane vs a plat riven and then a plat fiora. i got behind to riven due to her roaming and making plays in the river then getting camped top by a jungler and her. life was hell in that game. i played bad too. we ended up winning the game and i knew if i didnt anything too stupid my champ would be useful when i scale. as the game vs fiora who was plat was a good player but i got the best of her in lane getting a 2-0 lead. but when it came to game we lost as a team because i was stuck with a premade who decided to only to camp and help each other. mid/jungle premade. full ap lulu mid with her hp at 100% ult off cd and having a GA would not attack or engage until the enemy team blew everything on me , support or adc. and then i get flamed and bitched at by the duo and their whole argument is that they are gold 5 and better then me so they know more. when it was clear by the way they played that instead of playing to win or lose they were playing for a grade. i got accused of being on tilt, not helping team, not doing damage, ect it never ended. funny thing was even though that gold 5 full ap lulu who didnt lane against a plat player and had duo jungler camp his mid who had a far better kda then i did, i out damage her. and this is what i referring to when it comes to the elitist attitude.

Most people aren't rude about their rank. I meet VERY few players who enjoy pulling rank to be an asshole to other people. I play in low diamond on my main and pretty much everyone I meet calls themselves boosted garbage.
If you're lower rank than someone else you're worse than them. This is a competitive game with a competitive scene, and there is a competitive ladder. It is not meant to be your funhouse, and you have zero right to tell other people they can't treat the game like a competition. And telling someone that they're not as good at the game because they're lower elo isn't "bullying". If you play the game for fun you shouldn't even be bothered by people who say that.
Most people who get boosted are the ones who like to talk shit to other people to inflate their egos. They are the ones that want to be elitists and belittle lower ranks. The people who are actually good at the game don't need to tell lower rank people they're worse than them, everyone knows they are.

i never said it cant be competitive but to use that to base how you treat and talk to others is wrong. and that does happen.

it happens on these boards over and over if you disagree with someone point of view. just as you are saying my point is invalid because you are low diamond so you must know more then i do.

but for the most part alot of people do exactly what i say happens. there are exceptions. and boosting happen before there was dynamic queue. and the competitive ladder and scene you speak of out side of pro play dont mean anything and isnt valid to any extent.

and if we werent ever bothered how people talked to others on the game there would never be a need for muting, reports and bans by riot.

I don't have fun with League in all honesty it became a grind fest to improve and get better. The magic was gone and after I hit d5 I went from 15 games a day to maybe 3 while surfing reddit and boards. I'll refresh the reddit page for an hour without feeilng the urge to play the game.

I typed my response not because I'm salty at your post, I just felt like I wanted to chime in. While there certainly are people who are mean and treat others like garbage because of their rank it's very rare. People don't want to get boosted because they are getting bullied. In my experience these people get boosted because they want to bully other people but don't have the rank to do it yet. If there is a competitive ladder some people will want a way to rise to the top without putting the effort in. I doubt the key motive behind getting boosted is due to rank trashing.

I enjoyed playing when I won. When I lost I just felt like my time was being wasted and I just became salty. I kept playing because I wanted to hit diamond and feel better about myself. It's also an escape from school in real life because I don't like having a social circle but also hate being alone. So I just play League, and when the fun was gone I just started spamming games to at least hit diamond to get something out of my time.
