@Riot: SCREW the current Elder Dragon! It waters down the dragon buffs!
The 1.5X increase to a team's dragon buffs Mark of the Elder Dragon gives is a facade! Elder Dragon doesn't care at all that a team has slain the Cloud Drake twice, or the Infernal Drake or Poop Drake or any Drake or Dragon entity. Elder Dragon's just like "here's some true damage over time for a while! Maybe that'll be able to contest their baron buff".
And the cherry on top is that true damage over time is the most boring and unnoticeable damage ever, and that's mostly what a team earns from killing the Elder Dragon. ** SNORE!**
If Elder Dragon is going to stay then let it have a tangible impact on every game:
- have it grant an additional dragon buff * permanently * to the team that kills it
- Add one more maximum stack to each dragon buff, for a total of 4 stacks instead of just 3
- let random drakes spawn in between elder dragons so that teams can have more dragon buffs, and that the Earthen Arms buff is more impactful on games
Finally, get rid of the true damage aura. Everyone having true damage is boring! It being true damage over time is equally boring! Instead let Mark of the Elder Dragon double a team's earned dragon buff effects temporarily, so that the Elder Dragon buff on a team that's killed a lot of dragons would actually be stronger than Baron lategame; also, Mark of the Dragon would be incredibly flavorful with the particular dragons a team has killed.
Maximum bonuses possible for each Dragon Buff with these changes: "Stratus Walk" grants + 25 / 50 / 75/ 100 (+100% if they have Mark of the Elder Dragon) bonus movement speed while out of combat. "Infernal Tribute" grants 8 / 16 / 24 / 32% (+100% if they have Mark of the Elder Dragon) increased attack damage and ability power. "Earthen Arms" grants 10 / 20 / 30 / 40% (+100% if they have Mark of the Elder Dragon) additional damage as true damage to Epic Monsters and turrets. "Heart of Oceans" restores 4 / 8 / 12 / 16% (+100% if they have Mark of the Elder Dragon) of missing health and missing mana over 5 seconds if not damaged by champions or turrets within 8 seconds.
If there should be any additional changes to this at all, then let Heart of Oceans also grant a bit of bonus CDR so that its mana refunding is more impactful on games.
Hope y'all consider a change like this somewhere down the road.
