@Riot: Does dodging during the placement series count as a loss?

Just wanting to check this as nothing has happened to me as a result, but I dodged due to a Singed mid lane, and haven't been placed or anything (I'm 1 match away from finishing my placements.)

Just checking on this as I'm curious!

I don't remember if it's a loss, but it definitely lowers MMR.

No it doesn't. The only effect is has is that you have to wait out the dodge timer.
