if found the couple of patches after the juggernaut patch, when they managed to even out skarner, darius, and garen to reasonable levels was one of the most balanced phases this game has seen.
fighters, marksmen and melee adc were equally able to carry a game. some of the mages did shine aswell.
it always felt like the team could support the carry that came out strong of the lane phase instead of having to depend on the marksman to snowball on bot, and being able to kill the opposing marksman. the carry of the game could have been that darius on top, or that yasuo on mid lane, or the marksman on bot.
with so many different types of champs existing, that can carry it felt like everyone had a place in the game. sure it wasnt perfect and even within the strong classes, there were champions that were left behind. but the games were more teamfight oriented and as a basis for further balancing, it was better than what we have now.
we should have moved on from the state the game was in there, instead of turning everything upside down, making games super snowbally and everything focused on adc again.
