Kindred and Nidalee

Kindred and Nidalee were both OP in the last patch so they got nerfed. Nidalee got straight nerfs, while Kindred got nerfs, and then received some compensation buffs. Nidalee's winrate is down by 32. Kindred's is down by 7 Prior to the nerfs Kindred was evaluated by champion.gg to be the second strongest Jungler, Nida the Sixth. Kindred's current winrate is 52.33% and her winrate stays well above 50% until the 40+ minute mark, at which point it drops just below 50%. Furthermore, only complete Kindred Novices get winrates below 50%, as after a few games of play (Between 5-15) she consistently scores above 50%. She's current sitting at a 48%+ banrate and a 9.5% play rate.

Nidalee on the other hand only has a winrate above 50% at the 20-25 minute mark, at any other portion of the game she has a low winrate, falling right down to 46% by 40mins + and being in the 48.5 region at 0-25 mins - Hence she is no longer that much of an early game champion, instead she peaks mid game for a short period and then falls off hard. Her banrate is 14.7% and her playrate is 7.5% Anyone with less than 15-50 games on her is likely to be hitting a winrate below 50%, 50-125 is 51.4%ish and 125+ is 52,35%, compared to Kindred who skyrockets to 60% at 125+ games. For Nidalee, this is to be expected, as she's a champion that requires a lot of finesse and knowhow to perform properly, and basically has a high skill ceiling, and a relatively high skill floor. Kindred on the other hand isn't particularly hard to learn (indicated by the fact that even those who are inexperienced with her can achieve decent winrates), doesn't have a lot of unique mechanics and as such she isn't particularly hard to play - correct usage of her ult requires good game sense, but outside of that it's largely decision making and knowing what you can and cannot do - same for any champion. You could argue that kiting/orb walking can be difficult and as such she has a high skill ceiling too, but Nidalee has to be able to do those things as well.

In the pervious patch Kindred got the lighter nerfs (As is evident by the fact that her winrate didn't fall too much compared to Nidalee's) and even received compensation buffs (Her Q now scales to potentially infinite damage, it's unlikely that you'll gain a huge amount of damage through stacks, but it's possible to meet, and even exceed the previous damage with a bit of effort.)

This is what Riot had to say about these two champions;

We saw both Kindred and Nidalee take noticeable performance hits in 6.11. Unsure if that was enough though, with Kindred especially still looking strong, suspect it's likely we'll chip a bit more power off them at some point moderately soon (that's very much a guess though).

Parts of it are agreeable, Kindred definitely needs more nerfs. Others? Not so much. 'Considerable performance hits'. For Nidalee? Yes, dropping by 32 points in your ranking compared to other junglers in one single patch is huge. Her winrate decreased by over 4% since patch 6.10 and 6.11 For Kindred? Not so much. Sure her winrate decreased by 2% between patch 6.10 and 6.11, but her winrate in 6.10 was also really high - weighing in at 54.63 compared to Nidalee's previous 52.62, and her current winrate is almost the same as Nidalee's winrate last patch - when she was considered blatantly overpowered. Why then, are they considering nerfing Nidalee again when she's already taken a massive hit? Also, why were Nidalee's initial nerfs harsher than Kindreds, when it was Kindred who was dominating harder. Lastly, why are they unsure about nerfing Kindred when she's still blatantly strong?

Kindred basically has a lot of Nidalee's strengths, which much fewer of her weaknesses. She can clear just as fast as Nidalee, probably faster now that Nidalee has been nerfed (Exception may be the first clear, but she'll definitely be faster after that). She has damage that's just as high and is also a lot more reliable (Point and click compared to skillshots), she isn't as mechanically intensive, you don't need to master Kindred to stomp on her (Whereas Nidalee is a lot harder to play that she looks, on the previous patch, using trap clears, a Nidalee Novice would be at risk of dying on their first clear if they tried to mimic the clears of LCS players, Kindred on the other hand can still be relatively proficient in the hands of a novice - as in indicated by her winrate) She's exceptionally good at counter jungling - she clears fast, can 1v1 pretty much any jungler and is pretty much garaunteed to win if she gets the jump on them, she has her ult to keep her alive in case things go wrong, she can jump walls and has mobility built in on her Q (Perhaps not as much as Nidalee's, but mobility nonetheless) and she also has a slow - something Nidalee doesn't have. She's great as duels, skirmishes and teamfights, and is really good at protecting her jungle. Her ganks are also extremely strong, she has great itemisation and she scales pretty well too. I think further Kindred nerfs are pretty necessary. Nidalee however...Riot, why can't you just leave her alone? =/ Tired of seeing Nidalee nerfs every other patch, you've nerfed every part of her kit to the point that sometimes I wonder why I'm not playing K6 or Kindred - they'll definitely feel more rewarding for doing much less, and eventually you'll nerf her until she's no longer good at anything.

Not sure why you are getting downvoted. You have a good point.

Although I agree nidalee was way to strong before her major nerfs months ago, I think they went way to far with some of her spear scalings because no she is a hot mess in terms of when she is actually strong. I wish they would adjust the dmg on her spear to give her a bit more umph early game, because right now it is garbage.

I agree with you. Nidalee is very hard to play champion when enemies are not just vegetables. When you wont hit with Q, you just cannot do combo and only run away. She is great jungler, but not so usefull into teamfights/further game. Her ganks are weak due to lack of CC and really high speardependance. They should remove her passive to jungling mobs, but make her stronger with stats, dmg and survivality.

Probably because nidalees clear speed, safety, and mobility were so high she completely annihilated other jungling champs? Kindred has less mobility by comparison and has a few more levers for altering her damage capability.

You're not going to be able to nerf Kindred to the point where she's not relevant. Same with Lulu Janna. Her kit is simply not possible to make relevant nerfs without reworking her.

Key difference: Nid's an assassin. Nobody likes assassins, balanced or not.
