"Map Awareness"

If I have a bush warded, and still get surprise ganked by an enemy and die? That's my fault for not having map awareness. If you ping missing 5 times and your laner roams up and kills me? That's my fault for not having map awareness. If my laner I don't call mia on my top laner who's been gone for 30 seconds and suddenly Rift Herald is gone? That's my fault for not having map awareness.

HOWEVER If you don't ping your laner missing and I get murdered by a walljumping Talon or a no clip Kayn, that's not about map awareness. If you're a Nocturne who ults top out of nowhere and I don't follow up, that's not about map awareness. If you don't announce that you're ganking, and then all in my laner and feed them a kill before I can react, that's not about map awareness.

"But if you looked at your map and saw I was near top, obviously, I'm ganking." Maybe you're clearing a ward, or taking scuttle, or going to invade. I didn't ping for help, and you didn't ping you're on your way. That's why we have pings. So we can communicate on the fly.

Also. If my laner teleports to a minion in front of you and kills you? Don't blame me for not pinging MIA. It's a 4 second channel and there's only one person on the team with teleport usually. You can work it out. You have four whole seconds to realize someone's coming in and then leave. If you don't see them? If they're somewhere we have no vision of? Yeah, that's my bad. But don't sit starting at this magical minion with red spirals around it wondering what that means.
