My conclusion after climbing to gold in solo and flex solo

Flex queue is much harder to climb in (solo) than it is in solo.

The match making is awful in the sense that because its using it own MMR you can get matched with and against bronze all the way up to diamond players once you hit silver. Stomps occur much more frequent and harder because of this. Premades make trying to snowball as a solo player much harder. You can expect 3 even 4 man ganks on your ass. If you thought you saw troll, cheesy, or really off meta picks in solo than your going to love flex. There are 2 type of high elo players you will encounter. The ones that tryhard and the ones who play whatever and treat flex likes its normals. Unfortunately you will encounter the latter way way more.

If your willing to swallow your pride and dignity then climbing it with a premade will make it easier if you are all at least gold elo. If your trying to climb solo then you will have to be able match the skill of potentially diamond players. If your lucky they will be playing like a filthy casual and you can hopefully take advantage of that. If they are the latter then hope your good enough not to feed them. If you get the former on your team, ping them back when you see them doing something that seems like a horrible idea (because they will and very likely throw the game or ruin your lead). Don't be afraid to dodge if you get matched with a premade that hell bent on playing the most borderline troll comps/picks. The only roles I think you can get away with playing something aggro is in top and jg. Just make sure if its top that your escapes/mobility is good enough otherwise your just going to get CC and/or bursted to death if you step out line in top.

Only did it for the reward, so now I can rest easy not having to touch that nightmare of a queue for solo players.

I suck, but I started ranked in Flex (it was above SoloDuo on the list). So I invested way more time in it and am just trying to get to Gold5.

I haven't gotten too many diamonds though. It was either a plat or a diamond though when I was Bronze 2. I would say in my Silver1 (failed my promos twice, deranked once almost twice) that games are rough. I feel like it is almost always 40/60 in opponents favor. We even had a game where all 5 lanes won.... but we were teamfighting down to 50 minutes while having a clear lead.

Idk I am rambling haha. Congrats enjoy your reward.

Started Bronze 4 this season (crazy) and I'm at s2-s3 bouncing back and forth trying to get to gold. It really is horsecrap. Jg who don't remember to take smite, people who blame you for decisions they make, people who go farm bot lane while either the other team is obviously making a move to baron or beating on an inner tower. Decision making is that a a 10 year old for most people, just no forethought most time.

Don;t get me wrong. I'm by far the best LoL player out here and make tons of mistake, but know macro play and being able to reason seems to be lacking really bad between s3-s1.

The worse part is how some people make it in to g5 and should literally be b5*[slayer-jinx-unamused]*

I was gonna say play with me, but ouch your recent history has been rough.

Yea =\ I have been climbing from B5 up to S1 in flex (one failed promo with lp down to 0, one demote after being 66LP). Like my word, please Tio just give me Gold5. These last two months in flex have been rough. I was 60% WR all the way up to Silver 2 (skipped S3). Then I have been jumping up and down like crazy. I will be so disappointed if I don't get the Gold free champion by November.

Oh yeah last few games have been hell. As you can see there are def games where I just poop the bed, and I'm big enough to know a lot of games would be different if I had played better. At this point tonight, I've given p on G5 this season lol.
