PSA : Don't Ban New Champions Day 1

You need to learn how to play with/against/as the new champion, so don't go banning them out on day 1 because you're scared of change.

Kayn is not broken, he's different. His early game is weak and gets weaker until he transforms. Learn how he fights and how he builds, then after a week go ahead and ban him if you still think he's worth the wasted ban.

People are excited for him because he's fun not broken, and will be a popular champion because of it. People are only comparing him to Yasuo because he has a dash that spins, that's it, that's as far as that kit comparison goes.

People dont ban new champions because they are broken. They ban them because new champs don't belong in ranked.

I agree with OP, but I think he's saying don't go banning on day 1 in normals. In ranked I would ban him because I don't know how to fight him and I don't want a day one Kayn main on my team.

Just because it's new to you doesn't mean it's new to me.

And just because you claim that does not mean you are telling the truth. If you want to play him so bad there are customs, blinds, and featured game modes as well as 3v3 map. You don't have to muck up someone's ranked game because you want to play the new hotness.

You do know there is a game mode besides ranked that has bans right?

Banning Kayn in Draft is a dick move, and forces people who want to play as/against him go into Normals where people just scramble and insta lock roles, as well as resulting in a mirror match up nearly every time.

Of course I know this, the onus is on the OP to state whether or not they are talking specifically about norms or not. Expecting people to be cool with new champs in ranked is just sheer stupid if he's talking about ranked though. There is a reason they stopped letting people pick free week champs in ranked

The thing is: I don't want him in my team. And since I only play ranked, I'll just wait until I'm sure he's balanced. I don't want him to be Camille 2.0.

You know what's funny? Now that I have guaranteed ban every game, I actually don't have to learn how to play with/against or as the new champion. But thanks for your input.
