I honestly don't understand how Riot views mobility

Look at Kassadin. Mobility is supposed to be iconic for him. He's the most mobile assassin. He paid for it with mana far more than Lucian, LeBlanc, Fizz, etc. They made a statement saying they didn't want to nerf his mobility right? I can understand why they changed their minds. Maybe now they can buff him in other ways. But then they said how if a champion has a lot of mobility, they'd rather nerf things such as damage, utility, etc.

On top of this, they're now trying to remove/change targeted cc because it's not fair to auto damage or cc them when the champion gets in range. Fine. Before mobility became a problem, I can see how that would be fair. You can position more, hide behind minions, whatever. However, with so much mobility, targeted crowd control and damage might be the only way to counter high mobile champions.

According to Riot, Assassins are generally the ones with the most mobility. At least that's the intent. High risk, high reward. I'm not saying that Zed and LeBlanc don't have risks, but being able to reset yourselves seems to minimize the risk. I feel as if they should either nerf something for that safety, lower their mobility, or add more risk to going in like a delay before resetting.

There's also the issue on the types of mobility. There's movement speed, with Hecarim being the most extreme. Breaking out of crowd control, which Evelynn is known for. Immunity to crowd control, such as Yi and Olaf in one form or another, and finally dashes (and blinks?) which we tend to think about Yasuo, Kallista, and Kassadin. Movement speed champions are fine. Crowd control breaking and immunities are tolerable. Dashes on the other hand, are getting out of control. Either there's not enough mana costs, a long enough cooldown, or I'm not sure what someone is losing for almost infinte dashes, or if it's even enough.

Finally I have a question for Ghostcrawler or any former WoW dev. There was a point in WoW (Cataclysm-MoP) where crowd control got out of hand. Mobility, fears, stuns, silences, instant casting...until Blizzard had to tone down or remove a lot of it. Is this something that needs to be done with LoL? Is it being analyzed just in case? Champions supposedly won't have knockups for a while, but what about knockbacks, or stuns? If you want to add more mobility, then fine, but please no more dashes. Try to come up with other types of mobility, or better yet, anti-mobility.
