How is Trydamere strong?

JARmates··1 votes·713 views

Every game I spectate of a Trydamere player (rank), they don't seem to do anything but split pushing. It is the Lee Sin who is the carry and get most of the kill (that if there are no Grave, Garen, or Yasuo).

I know that I am no where the Trydamere player I once was but he nothing like he was in season 2 before his Q nerf. It could be that my skill is lacking (which it is) but I can't do anywhere as well as what I see people claim on forum.

How exactly is Trydamere powerful? How or what items do you build on him? How do I play him?

Thanks

Jax: Alright! Let me leave my lane to assist in the 4v4 drag fight. ... and there goes my inhibitor to a full ad trynd.

Tryns power has always been about his split pushing and chase honestly. Without cleanse or SS you just get hard CCed even after ulting.

You need to think of the new tryn as a melee scrapper who gets in and gets out of fights, not a sustain scrapper like a renekton.

Also the new item thats similar to static shiv, along with static shiv make tryn drop towers in literally 3 seconds.

Hes a very niche player, but dont expect to lifesteal tank through enemys like the old phantom stacking tryn days

I thought as much. I miss the old phantom stacking Tryn days (though I don't remember my build). However what you say should not make people on forum complain about him. He not Yasuo or Graves. He die to any form of CC. I think any ADC can drop tower fast as well which doesn't make Try any special.

I'm so confuse about the forum qq about Tryndamere when I don't think he that great at all?

Wow now I know how to play Tryndamere and I got to say I love him. He play so much differently than before. I don't ever consider him a split pusher until now. He used to be build as a unkillable assassin/tank. I still prefer the old Trynda though but that probably never happen.

Their QQ comes from the new ferocity keystone which gives you a heal every time you crit for 15% of the damage you deal, and with tryndamere being able to have 35% crit with ZERO crit items, he literally gets free auto attack heals every 2 seconds. When you compile this with his standard builds, if someone doesnt CC him, he can literally face tank an entire team just like yasuo in their current states.

Hes not OP unless you play him to perfection at which point he becomes straight up scary

I thought he take Warlord Bloodlust like all other Crit base champion?

tryn is strong because of his split pushing. taking turrets, inhibs and finally the nexus wins the game. everything else is just a means to an end to accomplish just that.

guess what tryn does best. if you guessed that he doesnt stop split pushing until he reached your nexus, then thats correct.

You can win a game solo by "just split pushing"

Thing is, Tryn can 1v1 towers and in many situations can out base-race a team by himself (unless they have a trist and azir). His kit is designed in a way that he is able to ignore the other prerequisites of pushing a tower (such as having a minion wave or killing the enemy team). He can ignore normal convention and push a lane as much as he pleases. The question for his balance is always "does he snowball hard enough that he reaches that point before anyone can do anything about it?" not "will he reach that point?"

Just remember that not all champions will fit the same roles they have before, but also some champions fit certain roles better than others, for example, even with junglers you have high sustain farm junglers like Warwick who is capable of soloing big objectives like dragon early on, but you also have assassin gank junglers like shaco and evelynn who benefit more from non stop lane pressure, and theres also junglers like master yi who really need to build up their devourerers before they truely shine in the game.

People think of the game as having only the 5 standard roles of support, adc, apc, bruiser, and jungler but really theres wayyyy more roles, and yes split pusher is one of them.

even with tanks you have preventative tanks like braum who specializes in defending his allies and peeling for them, but you also have offensive tanks like malphite who excell at initiating fights and sitting in the middle of them.

With this season, expect big changes, and start to think outside the standard box of league

Basically he is one of not the best duelest in the game but not a good team fighter by any means.

SO he is played in a way that requires that someone who can survive him whcih often meanas 2 people bust be ready t ogo and stop his split push.

Add in the mastery that this patch can allow him to heal on crits from level 1 and it is really challenging to push him out of lane this patch. This is being changed to only work whe nattack enemy champs but currently it happens when attacking anything.
