Toxic players aren't really that bad?!?

That why there is a mute button. Toxic players doesn't really affect your game if you don't let them get to you. On the other hand, rage quitter, feeder, AFKers, and trolls actually do affect your game so I don't really understand why Riot is giving harsher punishment to toxic players?

There is a solution to toxic players, it call muting. There is no solution to the following imo more harmful players that I mention above. This community need to calm down and realize what is more toxic. I can't control 2 champions to negate the lost of an Afkers but I can mute anyone who is toxic.

You see all the other type of ban worthy offense actually affect the game much more than any toxicity because there is a solution and that is call "mute button. You don't even have to type out mute, just press tab and click mute. It so simple yet people still complain. For those who hate toxic players, well I feel the same about all the above. I said it before and I'll say it again, toxic players are still decent human being who can't control emotion unlike the following I mention because those guys are intentionally doing it to piss people off. You know that when you ragequit you are hurting your team.

Imagine somebody was punching you repeatedly... hard enough to cause pain, but not hard enough to cause actual injury. Now imagine somebody told you "Dude, he's really not that bad... just take some painkillers."

Yeah, sure, it technically solves the problem, but apart from undesirable side effects, it might make more sense to reform the guy who for no reason starts punching people (or remove him from the community).

Do you believe that toxic behavior increases or decreases the number of AFKs and rage quits? Do you believe that "feeders" (which, frankly, most often is just people losing lane) are encouraged to try harder and work with the team by flaming them or do you believe that it demoralizes them?

You will not get anywhere with this entitled community. Mommy and Daddy told them that whatever they do, they are special and common sense like muting someone don't register with them because they have that entitlement mindset.

You are 100% correct in what you said but these entitled children look at it as a slap in the face to them as evidenced by the down votes you received. Far be it for them to have to push a little button to prevent them from getting their fragile feelings hurt. Yet these same entitled children troll games, AFK, feed, and rage quit at the drop of a dime and nothing is done about it. This is exactly what poor leadership creates.

Sure they can. Once they've changed my perception of the game, they've affected the game. They've damaged morale, they've closed lines of communication (or forced me to close lines of communication out of self-defense), removed my interest in continuing to play, and generally turned a passable game into something I'd rather not be doing.

And that doesn't even account for them magically making a comment that does genuinely affect me.

On the other hand, rage quitter, feeder, AFKers, and trolls actually do affect your game so I don't really understand why Riot is giving harsher punishment to toxic players?

Riot starts verbally toxic players with Chat Restrictions. They start non-verbally toxic players with 2-week bans.

Verbally toxic players have three opportunities to reform before being permanently removed from the community. Non-verbally toxic players have one.

Given that, it seems to me like they're rather more lenient towards verbal toxicity.

There is a solution to toxic players, it call muting.

Muting, by necessity, occurs after the fact. Since it does nothing to mitigate the effects of what's already been said, I'm not sure "solution" is the best word for it.

This community need to calm down and realize what is more toxic.

I don't think you get to tell people what's more important to them.

First of all, I'd love to know how you know exactly what every other person's intention is. Secondly, I don't see why everyone else should be responsible for a rager's lack of emotional control.

The exsistance of a mute button does not give someone a valid reason for being toxic.

Same as how the existence of a chat filter does not give someone a valid reason to excessively swear.

So I sent out a report just now, for this person named RG eThug . He's a speical one alright, just trolled his team on purpose, made the lucian rage quit, made the lucian rage at me because when i got to lane after a VERY long fight in the jungle at lv 1 with the enemy jungler, i get to lane at lv 1. We get in a skirmish with bot lane and me being the lv 1 couldn't provide the necessary back up you would normally have agasint lv 3 support/adc. Anyway we lost, he goes on to say im trolling, lv 1 starting a fight, which i didnt, and then he leaves he says hes not wasting his time and leaves. In champ select the Rg E thug and the adc were talking like they were friends and they were hating on me for some reason, because I got 'carried'. To make a sad story short, I got reported by some people from the enemy team and the Rg e thug, the person that went afk did not get reported because he didn't get the 9 reports, and im sure the RG e thug isn't gona have any consequences that come of it. After the game ended, I kept asking him why he did, and he told me, he thought I was someone else that got carried, and that it turned out I wasn't the same person. But this is after I lose my 20 LP, get reports, and don't get to see the confirmation that my adc got instantly banned like you normally do when 9 people report the same person for afking.

The point being: Afk-er, didn't get banned like he DESERVED The troll: was toxic, did afk in the middle of the game for a bit, and while he was only being toxic to ME, I believe he made the adc of mine Rage quit. Me: I got reported? Man that's some crazy crap. That was my trolly diamond 3 game. Nothing came of it apparently except me getting reported. That's not fair. Something needs to be done about this. And at the very least, refund my LP lol. I'm trying to get to master tier.

I would say, skill depends. Being toxic has nothing to do with being a bad player. In fact, most toxic players are the best thing you can get into your team. If someone is toxic, its because he hates mistakes, so he flames you if you do them. To see mistakes or etc requires to be good. Most toxic players i get, even tho they flame like a fire, are extremly good at the game and mostly win us the game.

This is Rito game, where everything is bass ackwards. Feeding, unskilled player, ragequitting, afk; none of these things are considered as toxic as reacting in chat to them. So the lesson here is it's ok to troll and be a #gatekeeper, but don't say a damn word in chat cuz if anyone even merely disagrees with what you said, guess what you're gonna get reported -> punished.
