Ekko is getting pretty annoying now...

The buffs were too much.
The buffs were unnecessary.

Anyone else who feels playing with Ekko was fine before the last two buffs?

The buffs were unnecessary.
The buffs were needed but not executed properly, it was meant to help assassin Ekko but managed to benefit tank Ekko more.
The only real thing they can do to help assassin Ekko other than tank is up the ap ratios, but even with that I can see tank ekko going roa/abyssal into full tank and destroying everything at a faster rate.
Well, they were trying to make him more viable in his old LCS jungling role and his native mid role since he's been performing kind of underwhelmingly in those places.
Without realizing that he's been very much viable in top for the entirety of the damn season.
No, Xin's crit buff was unnecessary. Recent Ekko buffs....I'd say a little on the "overdone" side.
I dont think the buffs did anything... hes always been this good. I dont think people realize how tiny of a change most of these "buffs" are.
Hes always been this strong, but when they announce that someone is getting "buffed" people get a sudden interest, hence someone (ekko) becoming meta again.
Point is, buffs hardly do much for the most part, its very minute number changes in damage or etc., for the most part. Obviously not going to say all nerfs/buffs dont harm/help a champion a lot, but its for ekko its not as much as you think.

The small early game changes to his E CD and the tons of Movement speed he gets now is pretty insane when you bundle it all together with the rest of his kit.
*Passive - Z-Drive Resonance MOVEMENT SPEED 40/50/60/80% (at levels 1-16) ⇒ 50/60/70/80% (at levels 1-16) *E - Phase Dive COOLDOWN 13/11.5/10/8.5/7 seconds ⇒ 11/10/9/8/7 seconds
Hes exactly the same mid-late game, and early game just slightly better, but no damage increase just cooldown changes.
The major thing was his e not the passive (imo), and even 2 seconds > 1.5 seconds > 1> .5> 0 is nothing, maybe the rank 1-2 was a bit bigger, considering you max q first, so by the time youre maxing e youd be close to level 10, but... this "buff" although i agree with you guys, was unnecessary its not whats made him strong or whatever you guys think he is, hes always been like this.
Remember he's an assassin so even one kill off his early game could make him snowball pretty well*
Most people are building him tank now. But the real underlying issue that people are finally seeing is... Building tank and doing damage from high base damage = better than building damage.
Imo its better to build full/semi tank and do damage overtime than to be super squishy and 1 shot other squishys.
So full tank:

, etc.
Point is, its far better to build tank on some champs with high base stats than build them full damage.
P.S. Theres a few I didnt list because Id rather them not become meta, but ill mention them here I guess:

Malphite can build full tank because he is a tank and his whole kit synergizes well as a full tank. Only dmg item I would pick is the
for an aoe slow(Your Q slows movement speed while your E slows Attack speed).
Abyssal Scepter is also quite good on him. (Situationally)

Um, Kat does not have high base damages lol
yeah she does lol. say that to the challenger katarina main building sunfire cape on her, el oh el

It goes down to there being poor armor itemization for ap champions not her base damages. Kat's base damages are awful in fact. That's why you don't see magic pen builds on her such as haunting guise into abyssal and sorcs. Sunfire just happens to synergize with her kit with the magic damage per second and giving her the stats to survive against the overpowered ad itemization in the game atm.
I'd prefer if Jayce was based more on his Hammer stance rather than being a spampoker for EQ.
But as of now, you basically have to build muramane on him, to use his EQ a lot
Tank Jayce is based on Hammer stance, afaik.
Make it so that he doesn't build it completly based on one of his forms
That's still Tank Jayce.
Tank Jayce doesn't end up being tankier than the "true tanks" and doesn't do as much damage as "AD Jayce"; It ends up trying to do too many things, and it ends up doing those things pretty poorly.
Stop theorycrafting vague statements about champions you don't even play in order to try to sound smart. There's only so many diehard Jayce players and I'm pretty sure when they play it doesn't do things poorly. Tank Jayce is actually a "thing". Meaning viability.
Leave that stuff to all the league youtubers that pull top champion lists out of their ass when they're just straight up BSing a portion of their content. At least they sound mildly authentic as they help low elo players select a champion to feed under the false pretense of the champion being a strong pick in the meta.
Ok, who plays Jayce, goes with a "Tank" build, and does better than when they go the AD assassin route?
Dyrone.
He still didn't go as good as AD assassin, and it was vs a Yasuo, which is weak to Jayce, amongst other things when he goes top.
Yas mid is a lot better than Yas top for a reason
Buffs just made more people notice him and play him more, w/ Ekko mains achieving higher win rates.
You know what else is annoying? Everyone who scales with AD on the enemy team building a Maw of Malmortius and never being able to kill them again : )
I'll feel bad about those who suffer from Ekko when Maw isn't a stupid item again.
Am I a bad person if I rush Maw on Zed when i'm already winning the matchup?

Am I a bad person if I Zed?
Yes.
It's not even ekko, it's a combination of items and grasp. Tanks in general atm with iceborn and sunfire are out of hand Watch they nerf ekko though :/
He's probabal one of the most poorly designed champions in the game. He's a "utility" assassin that's only viable because he has the most overloaded kit in the game. I just really can't name a major thing the champion doesn't have.
True damage. Sustain. A knockup (unQSSable ability).
who?
who?
stop being unobservant and irrelevant
I just really can't name a major thing the champion doesn't have.
Getting? He's always had an annoying and overloaded kit, nothing new there.
Well maybe if they made him an actual assassin instead of pitiful ratios on everything but his ult, he wouldn't be so annoying as a tank
he has too much utility
I personally feel that
and
are the two most obnoxious characters. Ekko does so much damage without building it and gets all his hp back and Lee is just a nuisance TnT
Tank Ekko is pretty busted right now; statistically the best top laner in the game in high elo atm.
I'm assuming that's Assassin Ekko, not Tank Ekko? (On account of tank being "pretty busted")
complaining about tank ekko? seriously tank fizz is much more annoying
cough
cough
^ whats worse is its still a thing..

she is so easily kited if she burns all 3 of her ults, likely enough if you have even the littlest bit of MR from items akali can't tear you apart did i forget that titanic was nerfed quite hard on the AD portion?the one thing that let her deal dmg with her E

In my books, they are both cancer, assassins should not be able to build tank and profit.
ekko is really more of a mage fighter
Riot had stated his niche is "Utility Assassin", which is something that should never exist.
they should lower the stun on his w to 1.75 seconds and remove his slow on the passive he is already sticky enough

No, his W is one of the hardest skills to land in the game, which is good since it's reward is so high. If you want to change ekko in a meaningful way to his stickiness, lower the speed he gets from the passive or lower slow from Q. Personally I'm more of a fan of lowering the slow of Q because it's a very powerful ability with damage and the slow just makes it too hard to avoid as well as make the rest of ekkos aa's hit. -Ekko Main
