Sniper 02 votesAhri plays like an assassin, anivia is immobile yes but she also has range and hard cc(apparently anivia is in a bad state right now too), Annie is a burst mage with a stun cannon and assassins are squishy(you know if you get in melee range and she drops a bear on your face), Cass is currently in a really unhealthy spot right now.
These champions are also outliers. Vel'koz is champion that performs relatively well and he gets smoked by assassins.
Ahri also isn't immobile. Immobile, squish champs are the ones that assassins really screw over. (which is why I mentioned that anivia and cass are apparently in a really bad spot health wise)

Succubús GF2 votesAhri isnt a true mage though. Annie is a burst mage, they are meant to 100-0. So its really an even match. Burst mage counters less bursty mage. But the reason assassins can sometimes be counters to mages is one is immobile. Annie has a hard time landing tibbers on a continuously blinking champ
