Fire CertainlyT.

He is not a good designer. He comes up with interesting ideas yes, but every time he creates something, its sole purpose always seems to be to make the game unfun for those playing against it and a thorn in the side of your balance department. None of your other designers make the kinds of monstrosities he does. Sometimes they make overtuned champs, sometimes they make overloaded champs, but for the most part, none of them make champs that just suck all the fun out for the people playing against them, at the least they don't on such a consistent basis.

His latest abomination has recreated Season 2 Urgot and it is likely that Morde will now be nerfed into oblivion until his eventual rework, he's done this over and over and over again, just fire him or move him to a different department, thank you.

I once commented that I consider CertainlyT to be incompetent because he has absolutely no sense of discipline or restraint whatsoever in champion kit design ("I know, let's just bung a double crit ratio in there along with the free auto-deploying shield, just for the hell of it!") and no-one at Riot seems at all concerned with reigning him in, despite that EVERY one of his champions has presented a major balance problem at one point or another (or in the case of Thresh, ever since his release). My post was deleted for being "offensive" (despite containing no abuse or aggressive language) and I was issued a warning. He's Riot's golden boy and they won't hear a word against him.

I don't think he should be fired. Even if most of his champs are awful to play against, he does still bring a lot of cool or otherwise unique ideas to the game.

That said, he should never be given a solo project again. He's got all these interesting ideas, but he really needs somebody to tug on his leash every once in a while and say "hey, maybe giving a champion infinite dashes and/or a dozen passives isn't such a great idea." As a pure idea man, he's great, but when he's given full control over a project he always goes way overboard.

This is a good point, the least problematic champ he's made (From a design standpoint, not numbers) was Zyra and she was designed by several people.

the morde rework is the worst thing i've ever seen riot do, and that's a fucking long list of wrongs.

it's like he was recycled into fucking aluminium and replaced with a plastic made in china morde. it doesn't matter how strong or 'op' he is, I don't want to play as him. all of his cool animations with shards of metal and maces flying around replaced with blue rings and the color purple. absolute fucking retarded shitwork.

CertainlyT didn't make Lee Sin.

I also don't think he was responsible for Yasuo's animations, so how smooth he plays also can't be attributed to CertainlyT.

I mean, I don't mind most of CertainlyT's champions, but he had nothing to do with those.

At no point in this defense have you acquired any traction. In fact, because you choose to present some of the most cancerous, overloaded, and agonizing champions in the game as anything but what they are, all while defending Riot's biggest mistake makes you look like another white knight CertainlyT fanboy.

Your kind is destroying League by enabling him to create monsters like Yasuo, Thresh, and Kalista without any restraint. What's next? Are you going to regurgitate the same filth his other fanboys spew out and tell us how they're healthy because they're fun to play?

Being fun to play doesn't excuse how awful they feel to play against, and that's ultimately where CertainlyT fails as a designer. He has no fucking clue what it's like to play against his abominations of creation and only ever focuses on how fun they'll be for the player. No thought whatsoever goes into the receiving end or to game health in general.

The biggest problem I have with the Morde rework is the fact that he can resurrect the dragon. It's a concept that sounds cool on paper but when he resurrects drag and takes two towers and an inhib within a minute because of the damn thing, it doesn't really make it fun to play against.

On a side note, report Dragon for assisting enemy team. :P

Firing him is a bit much, although I agree that he cannot be put in charge of designing a champion. Literally everyone he's created has been a broken piece of shit and literal cancer to face (I still get triggered by Kalista , donate to my patreon).

I really don't understand how they do not see this. They're willing to admit that Vlad shouldn't have every been released, they're willing to admit Yorick shouldn't have been released, so why won't they admit that all of his monstrosities have impacted the game negatively. Darius isn't toxic anymore because Repetoir yanked him from him. But now Mordekaiser is complete cancer to face bot lane. They just do not fucking learn. This game is never going to be balanced, not even fucking close, as long as CertainlyToxic is still creating champions that are cancer to face like Yasuo and Kalista.

It could have been good if they didn't dump him into bot lane. The downside of picking a juggernaut is a slow/weak early game and being easily kiteable, but being in the bot lane he can just find a cc heavy/grabbing support and rekt the world at all points of the game. Also his shield and q are just too toxic for me. gg

TBH I'm surprised he even wants to work for Riot considering he has people like you telling the company to fire him publicly because he makes champions that anyone can technically grind IP to get OP. Just buy his champions and abuse their overloaded kits, or don't, I like binary champs like Master Yi myself but I have to accept that when a higher skill cap champion outplays me that I have less tools to overcome them outside of my ease of use.

I know a ton of champions that aren't fun to play against and CertainlyT didn't make every single one of them. Should we just fire every single designer behind those specific champions because I don't like playing against them? What champions are fun to play against? The only time I truly enjoy the game is when I beat my lane opponent, if I lose I'm not having fun regardless of who is beating me.
